My full bolt-on, full weight 2000 Z28 A4 was pulling consistent 12.04's @113 last season.

This is if everything is working well and drivetrain losses are minimal. I've gone 11.60s at 113 mph, but doing so with low 1.5x 60 foots. I'd say high 11s low 12s, but you've got to get your 60 foot time down with traction, practice or likely both!

Good luck!

When my car was full weight and cam only it ran 12.2 @113, never did get it to hook that great, 1.72 was the best 60 foot I got from it... this was with 26x11.5 et streets with stock shocks and springs, etc.etc. I know it had an 11.xx in it had I put some more time in it and put some adjustable shocks on it.

11' are definitely possible, I've gone 11's @ 111, so I know you can do it trapping 113. Just a matter of traction and being fast on the shifts.

True. I go 12.00 @ 111 so I don't see why he couldn't hit mid to high 11s.

What rubber do you recommned? Can I cut those 60's with tires that can be driven around town?

The car goes out on Saturdays, Sundays, mostly freeway runs but will go to the track twice a month.

Is my trap speed in line with my power? There are some people that think that a 9:1:1 383 with APR heads should run better.

Thoughts?

If it was an auto I'd say 11.7-11.9 depending on weight. Since M6's trap a little higher I'd say 12.1-12.3 with a better 60'.

I do think you should be quicker with a 383. My 383 with stock heads ran 10.93 @ 122 with a 1.50 60'. Not trying to brag......just telling you what it ran. Have you gotten any tuning done?

Hell, who knows, each car/driver package is different. This is no joke, I knew a guy in San Diego with a 944s Porsche that had a twin Paxton 406 small block in it. That car ran low 10's, 10.09, 10.16, the very rare 9.99 pass, the kicker is his trap speed was in the 160+mph range!! And yes it was a street car, he drove that thing all the time. Some old school So.Cal. street racers might even know who I'm talking about, I think his name was Sean. Don't worry too much about the e.t., IMO mph. is where it's at.

Jesus you guys have no MPH LOL

When I was stock, with only a K&N Filter, not even a lid, I went 111.22mph on a 12.85 lol

Maybe I just could not drive back then, who knows LOL

Although with a good 60' 113mph should be good for low 12's Most bolt on 6spd LS1 F-Bodies go 11.7's at 116 or 117

alex not everyone races in november at atco and e town though.... you have to udnerstand those tracks are at least .3 faster then the average track during the normal race season.

I plan on taking an acto trip in novermber this year to prive this point, and get the infamous atco mod timeslip to prove it.

Yes, the car is waiting for the procharger to go in. It's a forged 383 with
9:1:1 compression, AFR heads and a Comp cam.

I think wait a minute. Stock F-Bodies don't trap 111 stock

I guess this poster thinks he should be getting through the 1/4 mile quicker because he runs 113 in the traps?

If you spent 4.00 getting through the first 60' I would almost bet, because of the power vs. the weight of your car you would trap 111-113 mph. You said this is your best mph. What is your normal? 98% of the subjects I start get closed by moderators.
I guess it's because no one understands the question or statement so eventually the responders post silly stuff.

There is no correct answer to your question. If you figure out how to get from point A to B better your et. will be lower. If you over rev past the power points of your engine your mph will be less. To me, and I have been told I am crazy, but to me this is a silly *** question. Something you might expect to hear in a jr. high lunch room. Everyone here does understand how and where the mph, ie trap speed is taken, right?
