I don't think you'll ever see that car back together again.. that thing looked really mangled this time.... bad enough so I don't think it will ever be right again.

When I watched that video and the way that car made a move towards the wall, it looks like something came apart in the rear suspension or something. It just looked like it took a hard right, like something in the rear end broke.

That wasn't just the tires getting blown off like you see, that was a part failure that caused that I'm pretty sure... only Paul knows that for sure though.

Sucks to see that happen to anyone, all the work, time and $ that's in it, I don't care how much loot ya got, that hurts.

on yb Paul stated that it was 100% driver error, when the car set back downt he left front he lost it, no parts failure at all, and that the damage didn't "look" to be to bad.

Anyone that has seat time in a radial car like these should know when to get out of it once it spins. I've seen MANY MANY cars wreck the EXACT same way.

Yep, those times were at 3300, with the new doors, lexan and chassis work, I'm hoping to be 2890-2900 before ballast. I know how to get it there.

That's good news on the car.... I don't know what they would call looking bad, that looks pretty bad to me... but if they can fix it, awesome!

I didn't see a video from the drivers side, just the one from the passenger's side, another angle might make that look different, from what I could see it looked like something broke.... but if nothing broke and it was driver error, so be it.

Paul's o.k. that's all that matters, and if the car can be saved, even better.

JL from what the thread said the front bars "looked okay" but most of the front susp (obviously) was toast. there was a vid from the driver side and as soon as the tire sets down it turns.

Juiced

can't find the driver side vid, but back to Phil's amazing build thread...

Sweet, there goes an assload of weight. I'm intrested to see the fit/finish on them once they're in and painted. That stuff has come a long way in recent years, and has gotten substantially better.

We are running 8 160 bosch injectors, next year we're going to run 16 injectors.

When you run sixteen injectors, do you need a special engine management system designed for that, or do you wire them in series in pairs?

We'll have Big stuff 3 upgrade the box to run the 16 injectors. We're hoping that adding a 2nd set will get the duty cycles down into the 40% range getting it back into sequential fire.

Maybe that's why worm had the 16 injectors on the black car they won the shootout with last year. I know they had 2 sets on it, wasn't sure why, maybe that's it.
