Well here is how the day went....

1st hit off the trailer, track had been prepped maybe an hour earlier, track temps were around 55, Car hits the tires drives 40' out and spins, 1.29 60', I clicked it off

2nd hit - regapping #2 did the trick, boost was back, stood the car up, had to pedal

3rd hit - called Madman and he made the suspension call that worked perfect, first good shot the car nose came up 4" or so and bounced all the way to the 330'.
1.25 - 3.20 - 4.72 @ 162

4th hit - we add some boost down low, not too much but just a little expecting a 69 or 70. Car responds, front came up 4" and ran it to the 1/8
1.25 - 3.18 - 4.70 @ 164

5th hit - I got after the boost and it shook the tires 150' out and had to pedal it, was out of the throttle for .7 seconds
1.23 - 7.59 @ 198 - This pass would have been an EASY 4.66-4.67 looking at the acceleration

We've got some new stuff we're going to try next year. Chris Esterly from ATI Performance products gave us a converter(same converter used in a well known 632" twin 91mm combo) to test this past weekend and it worked perfect eventhough there was question from the management staff if we could get it up on boost but we did with no problem.

Shawn swapped out the cam for another one and seemed to work pretty well. At this point I am tearing the car down and we're going be updating the chassis work and removing some weight. We're hoping to be able to run at 3000 or 3100 next year with the proper weight distribution.

Over the winter I plan on remaking the crossover tube and eliminate some of the design flaws as well as update the chassis to 6.0 certification.

What spec is a 6.0 spec, 25.1? Jesus that's a full tubular car at that point no?

You guys (all involved) did a hell of a job with the car, sounds like you have some ideas where improvments can be made too.

I look forward to a bunch of pic's and an update as things progress, keep up the good fight!

I think a 25.2 is 6.00 and 3200#.

o.k I thought the 25.2 was a 6.50. 25.3 is the 6.50 cert with a higher weight allowed.

I get these things confused sometimes. Either way, that's alot of cert... should be more then enough to take care of the needs in that department for a while.

I am tossed up between the 25.2 and 25.3. I don't think I'm going to a big block anytime soon and the higher weight won't really benefit much after we get the weight out. I want to be 2950 with driver and fluids BEFORE ballast.

I hear ya there. I'm looking to try to get to 2800, so when the 25.5 gets done the car will still be 2900 at most.

Only problem is I'm starting with an F body damn things are alot heavier from the get go.

If I can get it that light, the goals that have been set, should be achievable.

we have all the parts to put a big block together, but we haven't gotten everything out of the lsx.Rather than just going bigger we decided to go down the path less traveled and get all we can out of this combination.Look for consistant 4.50's at 170 next year out of the little lsx and single.
