Got the headers done this morning, bungs are in and completely welded, we'll put everything back together tomorrow. Shawn sent up his racepak v300 so we can log the EGTs, also got some new injectors coming next week to see if we can make some more hp.

Got a bunch of small crap done today.
- Changed the engine oil
- Changed the tranny fluid
- Finished/installed the headers
- Finished the cage around the fuel cell
- Mounted fuel cell/insulated & ran all the lines
- Mounted the racepak v300
- installed downpipe

I think all I need to do is the final checks and wire the racepak.
Racepak v300 mounted, Will monitor RPM, Driveshaft RPM, Torque converter slippage, acceleration, EGT per cylinder

Chromoly mounting tab

Driver side header

Closeup Driver side header clearance

Dumped a few pounds with the fuel cell

Passenger side header

We've got 2 races this week, 1/8 mile friday, 1/4 mile saturday. I think I figured out how to go 1.1x 60's looking at the data. If we can go 4.61 or faster to the 1/8 we're going to lean on it to try and run a 6.9x. Right now the tune is very soft.

if that indeed did happen would it be a new record for lsx based drag radial?

good luck Phil.

I think its too soon for that kind of performance but you never know. Kurt Urban has been 6.86 @ 205 in a pro-stock style car with twin turbos. Paul has been 7.2x @ 205 in outlaw radial with twin turbos. I am trying to do it on a single turbo. Three cars have been 6.9s on radials, all have twin turbos.

Do you think you've done enough changes to pickup roughly .2 between now and the last outing? If the track is there I say you set it on kill.

The specs have finally been released. I ordered my sfi book last week, hopefully be here today or tomorrow. Its a shame that I will have to cut this M/S cage out seeing how I just got it 8.50 certed.

Yes. The car has more than enough power to go 4.40s its all in how you manage it. These cars make soo much power its easy to get out in the weeds with the tuneup. If you listen to the car it will tell you where it needs power. We've got 4 spots to add power and those 4 spots are worth about .30 tenths maybe more when you add them up. At this point its a matter of getting a clean hit with the right numbers in the right spot.

The cage was updated months ago and now has a dual certification(25.2/25.5) so we can go 6.00s @ >3200 or 7.50s @ 3600.

Hence why you're trying to get it down to 3200
