Shawn and I spent some time working on the motor. We're going with a tall Deck RHS block, Sonny Bryant Billet Crank either 4.125 or 4.250 with Center Counterweights, GRP Aluminum Rods, 4.125" JE Pistons, a Custom set of Crower lifters. I am going to reuse the top end package unless we sell it over the winter and keep the Stefs dry sump oiling system. We're going to talk to Bryant to see what they think about the 4.125 vs the 4.250 stroke in reguards to crankshaft flex and go from there.
A Jesel Belt drive and distributor will still sit on the front of the motor. I'll have to remake the crossover pipe for the turbo a and cut the cowl alittle but thats no big deal. Most of the details are worked out, a few things still on the drawing board but hopefully we can have a block and crank ordered by the end of the week.
Friday we tipped the scales at 3105 with about 75# of ballast in the car, with the Aluminum block we hope to see 2900-2920 with driver before ballast.

My wife got a video but its not the best, she had 2 kids to contend with. You can hear how late the boost comes in from the incorrectly machined flange. Just a 1/8 mile hit letting off to a 8.0 1/4 mile, It would have ran a 7.4x out the back.

Funny you mention it... We're talking about going to a smaller turbo. If we can get a turbo closer to the power we need and it will come up quicker, it would be faster. Going to a bigger turbo is only going to increase MPH out the back door and slow down the 60'.

Well probably go the cheap route and get the RHS. Question is do we build a 428, 441 or a 454. I can tell you it will have a Billet CCW crank, alot of compression and aluminum rods.
If money were no object I'd build a Dart Billet, 11:1 CR, 460", Byrant 4.250" crank, GRP Rods, JE Pistons, Jesel belt/distributor/lifters/rockers, PI Canted valve heads and a big old honkin Marcella Intake.

Sorry to hear that about the motor. I thought I would get to see it run at the Shakedown next weekend.
As for the combo you want to do. It sounds like what mine is so keep your eye out for it. I did the 4.100 stroke for the main reason of it was what they had being built and a little longer rod wouldn't hurt. I should have it built in the next few weeks and on the dyno.
