Kevin,
Unfortinuately I can't give you a date when its going to be ready. As you know I work some 60 hour weeks and have a wife and 2 kids so time for the race car is tough. I wake up very early and hit the shop when the family is sleeping and work very late after they have gone to bed. Its tough juggling the schedule but you know I make things happen.

There is NO ONE who knows you that isn't amazed and jealous of your unlimited energy. You forgot to mention that you built a house in this period.
BTW: I thought you gave up that sleeping stuff.

Got some more knocked out today, I got the fuel systems 99% finished, ended up being short a straight -8 fitting. Got the front bumper ready for paint, just need to drill the locating holes.
Coolant system is buttoned up ready
Tranny lines are buttoned up ready
Dry sump/oiling system is buttoned up ready
Fuel system is missing 1 fitting other than that its ready
Still need to throw on the old brake lines
tighten up the wiring
weld in the O2 bung
Make the exhaust mounts

ohh ok but why do you have to turn them on with a buttons located on the back bumper? and what do you mean by "arm the BS3 & turn on the racepack" those stuff should be turn on already dont they. and cant the driver do that in side the car.

Its a trigger wire for the start of the dataloggers. They can only record a set # of seconds so you cant just trigger them when you key on. Brian turns the loggers on as soon as I am ready to stage the car, driver concentration is very important at this level, one small mistake and you've crashed a 100k car. When I'm staging the car, my eyes are glued to the tree almost tunnel vision, I'll light the top bulbs, when brian sees its time to get into the stage beams, he will turn on the racepak and trigger the BS3 to start recording. The only thing I have to do is turn on the AMS-1000 just before I start my staging routine.

Two questions about staging the car;
Why dont you have a 3rd switch for the AMS?
If he turns the Racepak on after the burnout, does that mean you dont have any gauges up until that point?

My Racepak dash is a seperate deal, my dash gets power through a single cable from the BS3 and anytime the BS3 is on, the dash is hot.
As far as when the stuff gets turned on. I can turn on the AMS-1000 activation anytime I want because it gets reset when you stage the car and the transbrake is active. I guess concieveably I could tie the AMS-1000 and the loggers together and add a relay so when I am on the transbrake it inverts the signal to the dataloggers.

The "AMS" switch turns on: AMS-1000 activation, 2 intercooler water pumps, and a fan on the external tranny cooler. In the pits I can precool the intercooler and knock the heat out fo the tranny cooler by leaving the AMS-1000 and Racepak 300v switched turned off.
