Arnold from Carquest in Waldorf hooked me up with some paint for the doors and bumper, those are over getting painted. Worked this morning, getting closer. Got the intake on, all the fuel lines insulated with the exception of the return which i'll get this week. Got more of the wiring ran and the bumper/turbo inlet drilled and mounted to the cobra bumper.

Looks great, almost done! Did you make a couple pipes to go off the wategates? I didn't notice any in the other pictures... I can't imagine that you're running them without routing the hot exhaust gasses out of the engine bay.

(small observation, nothing more)

Seeing all the progress makes me want to get to work

I still have to make them but since they dont bolt to anything I am going to do them last. They should take an hour or 2, I already have them planned out how to make them.

Got the exhaust secured, I stood on both sides where the tips attach and they dont move an inch. Fabed up some quick dump tubes for the wastegates, made the brackets for the exhaust to the body and started working on wiring. All that is left is wiring and reinstall the brake lines. I also need to get more heat sleeve and insulate the remaining water and oil lines.

Thermotec, its the same stuff I used on the fuel lines. We had a problem with the Q16 boiling in the lines, we tried this stuff and the fuel stays cool now. Its on the lines to the regulator and the feed lines. I still need to do the return line.

if you go that fast with a single i'll be very impressed but wont change my mind on how much of a hassle FI is to put together.

i just put a racepak on my car before the last race and i cant say enough about how important that extra data is... we have 3 races left this year and if we cant crack a 5.2x on the 275 we need to stay home... lol

we are on the opposite end of the spectrum of you guys working with a short deck BBC, 1 kit, and 23* heads working towards a 4 second pass.

And that combo will probably be capable of a 4 second pass if you get the track conditions to support it, and the car right.

Phil's going to for sure be in the mid 4 second range with his car I'm sure. How far into that range and how close to a bottom 4, who knows.
