Made the last 4 pieces for the floor today, just need to weld them in and seam seal all the edges. I'm going to order some tubing and try a dual 4" exhaust out to see if I can reduce the backpressure after the turbo. Shawn said the motor is moving along but we're still waiting on Big Stuff for the ECU to come back so thats probably going to be our holdup. Still have the mount the BS3, Racepak, MSD and a couple other small things before the insides are done. I'm shooting for 4.4s @ 170 this year and I want the bitch to be dead consistent at whatever ET we dial her into.

You hit 170 in the 1/8th, what's that gonna do in a full 1/4 pass, 215?
What needs to be changed in the car once you go over 200 mph, something with the rear and some other things yes?
Your goals are agressive... but with the results vs runs to date I think it's possible.
Can't wait to see the results!

It went 163 early in the season when we had a boost problem and the boost touched 42#, air to fuel was deep in the 10s to high 9s:1. We cut the boost back to 36/37# and started working on the fuel map, the car went 157 with the same fuel(9.9:1) and boost. As we made more passes we got the air/fuel in the sweet spot and went 163 backed up with a 164 with 37# of boost.

47 mph out the back that's nutty.
The floater rear, that and a 2nd chute I do recall seeing those in the rulebook. Not that I have to worry about that ever![The Jester](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_jest.gif)
I get this new debacle together and it sees 165 I'll be happy. Should be capable of alot more, but I'm not geting my hopes up. Still want to run it by Shawn see what he thinks.
What sort of issues were you having with the fuel pump? Did you have the belt driven one on the car when you had the issues, or an electric one? I'm also debating on what direction to go with that as well.... can't seem to get a clear answer. I am going 16 V and just charging between runs, no ALT, and was trying to decide on wether to ditch the elec pump to save on the electrical draw. I was gonina use either the BIG weldon, or the big 625 Magnafuel, both are supposed to be good to 1500 hp, I don't think 1400 at the crank will actually happen, probably be lucky to get 1200

I not hiding anything, we burned a hole in a piston last year, not due to tuneup, to too much boost or an engine failure. Early in the build I brought a cheap set of injectors and I should have known better, we had an injector failure because I brought some f**king cheap *** injectors that couldn't handle the pressure. Up until that point the motor was happy and even when we tore it down, the bearings, rings, head gasket looked perfect.
We've made changes to the fuel system to prevent this from happening and to increase the reliability, we know what happened, we made changes to correct the injector problem, improve combustion and allower higher boost levels. It will be significantly better than last year.
When is that briggs built 4xx" mountain nitrous motor going to be done?

Phil was running the Motorsport 160's-i always hated them.We have some beeter injectors. We are also adding some other stuff to make the engine happier with the high boost, high compression combination

Go with the belt driven -the electric pumps always fall off at the top of the track due to voltage drop-that when you need the most pump
