I not hiding anything, we burned a hole in a piston last year, not due to tuneup, to too much boost or an engine failure. Early in the build I brought a cheap set of injectors and I should have known better, we had an injector failure because I brought some f**king cheap *** injectors that couldn't handle the pressure. Up until that point the motor was happy and even when we tore it down, the bearings, rings, head gasket looked perfect.
We've made changes to the fuel system to prevent this from happening and to increase the reliability, we know what happened, we made changes to correct the injector problem, improve combustion and allower higher boost levels. It will be significantly better than last year.
When is that briggs built 4xx" mountain nitrous motor going to be done?

I was joking saying that because I know our really agressive 1/8th mile tune ups wont make it thru the 1/4 most times. LOL
Lookin like 3 weeks hopefully.
Moutain motor !! LMAO !

That's what I figured. I'm gonna do the motor plate over and will put it as low as I can, any luck it will almost gravity feed. WAY down on the passenger's side is where I was thinking, and run the vaccum pump over where the ALT usually is, both fed off the gear drive.

LOL You guys are f**king wild.
the cage is now done, its ready to get paint and be certified
the floor is also done and ready for some carpet
got the passenger door striker and latch modified and installed so it closes on its own and the handle works
Going to order a bunch of stuff this week.

The new setup for this year is 16 injectors hopefully that will give us alittle room for error. We're moving to a precision 212/220# injectors, hopefully it will keep the duty cycle under 50% so we can control the fuel alittle better.

I was going to mount it up on the top portion of the motor plate by the head, above where a dry sump would be if I take that route.. run the pump off the dry sump pulley so if the dry sump belt ever broke, the fuel pump would lose it's drive as well, sort of like a safety thing.
But now I'll keep it down as low as possible, hopefully avoiding the issue. Fuel cell will be in the nose, either on the passenger's side (right by the pump) or in the center of the nose, depending on what else makes it's way in. There's a slight chance, that since I'm cutting whe whole nose out a side slinger might work, like the one procharger makes for a transplant type setup, but that's still in the air. Gear drive has the advantages of no side loading.... still looking at all the options.
Pretty much deciding to go with the belt driven fuel pump, you guys have me sold on that.
The 2 sets of injectors, any reason ya don't split it and use a smaller set to idle and whatnot on and one really big set, or is the total fuel capacity of both those big boys needed?
That's another subject I'm looking into at this point. I'm probably gonna go with an XFi box, and I can run anything for in injector with that.. but not sure how big to go or what to use. 1400 crank HP, I don't see it making more then that. Am I still in the single set territority?

Still need to seam seal the floor, dust with self etching primer and carpet
Cage needs to have a couple bars primed and painted
Pulled the rear end down to today and the axles look good going to add a filler and drain prime and paint
Got my trailer roof fixed, the 30" of snow collapsed the roof.
I'm pretty close to needing a motor to get the turbo and downpipe done.
Working on trans cooler mounts out of 3/8" chomoly
Transcooler mounts done and painted
Starting to paint the roll cage
Driver door is done, debating if I should put the outside handle on
Still need to trim back the lexan just a touch on the back of the door
Passenger door is done, still waiting on a replacement piece of lexan from madman
Windshield is done just need to paint the border, the rubber seal I got from mcmaster carr is the ****.

- Broke the rear end down this morning and got the floor seam sealed, ordering carpet today
- Windshield is done just needs to be black out for the final install
- I weighed the doors the doors are 14# each complete with lexan mounts and handles
We're going to be ready for an engine and tranny here this week or next.
