Team ugly is off the lift. Got the front fender mounts finished and the door mounts completely welded, just need to be painted.

I bet it is a great feeling to see her sitting on four wheels again! I do have one question though, what are those things sticking out the back of the car?

I was looking into doing the exact same thing with my 93 to do it on the cheap. I found a place a while ago selling the material in a giant roll. I figured it would be hard to pass on. I'll have to find the link again.

Been a bit busy lately. I think I finished up the fabrication work yesterday so sunday I'll do a couple checks and pull the motor and tranny to finish up painting the engine bay and a couple small things. Things that I got done tuesday and thursday between 5am and 12noon.....

Mounted/finish welding AMS solenoids
Mounted/finish welding dry sump tank
Moved/welded oil filter mount
Cut some aluminum inner door panels and pre-drilled
Bent a lower support for the nose bars and welded
Bent a 2nd driveshaft loop and welded to the rear cross member
Made a 16g mount for my ARC-8000 relay center and mounted it to the cage
Mounted/finished welding radiator fill tank
Finished welding crossover tube and cut header wrap to length

Sunday I'm going to check and make sure everything is done and pull the engine and tranny. We'll powerwash the engine bay and throw some paint on it to get us through the season.

I pulled the motor and tranny today and started getting everything cleaned up. Had to work on the dry sump since I moved it back 2" but got all the lines corrected and mount finalized. I've got alittle welding on the frame rails to do to get them 100% buttoned up, maybe 30 minutes of work total. My dad came over today and started painting the remainder of the chassis. Still need to figure out if I am going to keep the AMS-1000 in the dash or put it overhead on the upper windshield bar.

We're heading out this afternoon to get some misc bolts and parts, got another decent order from summit coming tuesday which includes alot of misc stuff and fittings for the fuel system. The fuel tanks are at Tempest racing, the one tank is done, the other tank should be done this week. We're splitting the fuel tanks to move the weight from where it was last year to important spots on the chassis.

You know what they say, car's not fast until it's got a hood on it that's a different color

Hence why mine's painted... it's too slow not to look good
