We are going down in turbo size this year to try and get it to spool faster. We added compression to make up for the reduction in turbo.

Everyone I talk to says I'm nuts for wanting to build a 12:1 comp turbo motor. I think its a damn good idea! I just need the budget to build one!

We had precision made a new one off turbo smaller than a 106mm using their newest wheel design with improved aerodynamics. In a world where everyone thinks bigger is better, we think that there is gains to be had with a smaller turbo and a more efficient wheel. We still have every intention of going 1.15 to the 60' and 175mph to the 1/8 mile.

I would agree, more efficient is key! Hopefully I can use some of the stuff I've learned from the thread on the bullet on my next build. I think I'll be switching over to EFI first though...

what, run a small turbo and try to make everything efficient. There will be none of that on this site. We must do like everyone else and over turbo everything and complain about slow spool and poor track times.

wouldnt something that resembled a turbofan engine blade (smaller scale of course) be called for here?

LOL, we initally had our minds made up on the turbo and after we spoke with some engineers we changed paths. We want to spool about 17-19% faster.
