I used por15. Brushed it on. Looks like it was powder coated and it's very tough.

I used the rustomlem hammer paint, had a cool look to it. There have a silver, gray, and black. The black is more the dark grey that matches the stock interiors. Its not flat, has a gloss but the hammerd look dosn't make it look glossy. Check out ,my build thread. page 5-7 I posted some pics of the diffrent colors on cages. And pics of how it cam out for me. Used a brush came out good, put it one and don't mess with it. Let it do its thing and will look great with the hammerd look when it dries. You can touch it up easy, thats really nice. Its not a expoy or powder coat, I have some chips on my door bar from tossing off my lap belt and letting it hit. But I drive the car a ton so its gona happen, you forgot how much to get in/out of a car you drive around all day, and make 10 pass a night at the track. I have to touch it up this year

my junk

Wanted a 25-1 car, didn't want to pay $20,000 for my car to be done.So i bought a tig welder and a tubing bender and did it myself.

Just about every great in the performance world started in their own garage because they couldn't afford to pay other people.

Well said sir..

Phil,i hope those welds are super strong in that car.I got an animal here that's going to try and tear it apart.

The boys in drag radial are going to be cryin this year-this small block is going to bring those big blocks to their knees just like kryptonite to superman.

We'll only use the bars for testing, the car is soo low in the front I cant afford to have the car come down hard after a big wheel stand. Last year it came up twice pretty easy and we weren't leaning on it hard. They will be set up a bit so the front will come up no more than 18".
