The 6.0L have plenty of power, but with our commercially used trucks the oil coolers atop the engine fail a lot. Despite sticking to Motorcraft antifreeze. I don't care for the few 6.4's and 6.7's we have either. I like the few remaining 7.3L's we have. The only problem we ever had with those is one had an injector fail.

A set of head studs and good gaskets and it should be happy for a long time. Guys I know that run ford trucks, generally do that, and strait pipe the exhaust with them, and put a tuner on and just run it on the lowest power setting. Generally it results in good mileage, good power, and a reliable truck.

Comp Cams made the base circles too small on the cam
Aeromotive have not sent back the fuel pump(switched it over to a hex drive and freshened it up

Steve Lowe can suck my left nut-he can grind it in a week wrong and then charge you a second time for the correct one.

oh yeah, and send you the second one COD so he doesn't have to tell you to your face that you're getting charged for the 2nd one. Nor can he answer the phone when you call, return calls or return emails.

WOW. I guess that is a soft spot. They do make nice stuff. I really didn't ever have many dealings with him but they made what I asked and it was fast. To tell you the truth if that was done to me I would have taken the box, walked in back and broke the bitch in half and then gave it back to the UPS guy and say I have to decline taking it.

If I wouldn't have been in a bind I would have done that. When you tell someone that you need a small base circle because you have a 5.100 stroke with alum rods and only a .400 raised cam- they need to listen and not think they know more than the guy putting the engine together. So Steve thought he knew more about it than i did and sent this huge base circle cam and said it would fit that tons of guys have used the same deal with similar setups. Guess what-it didn't. So I call him and he says hmmm.. I guess you need a smaller base circle-really do ya think? Say that he'll ship out another cam in a couple days-no mention of payment, everything up to this time has been done via credit card and they get payment up front. A week later the cam shows up with an $800.00 COD. I try to call Steve, leave a message, no return call, call 2 more times,no return call. Sent an email-no return email. Up to this time he always called right back. This wasn't the first problem we had with Steve Sr and Jr, but it surely will be the last.
