Had a rough night tonight, just a bunch of careless errors set us back.

1st hit, I forgot to turn on a piece of the power management which left the boost super soft down low. left at 4.5# of boost. super lazy boost curve. finally gets up to 24# boost about 3.2 seconds in. Runs a 5.10 @ 157.8. A/F was lean most of the run.

We added 20% fuel across the top side of the map and that was when things started to go down hill.

2nd hit, it moved maybe 12 inches and blew the tires off the boost came in fairly quick, pedaled it and the car just wouldn't recover. It hooked up for maybe 100' and it was clearly making more power with the fuel. Ran into some issues, found a loose dry sump fitting which caused oil to backup in the turbine housing and the valve cover was leaking at the front corner. We got both those fixed.

3rd hit, the car moved maybe 24" and spun the tires. The new motor is making soo much more torque isn't stupid. Pedaled it and rolled back into the gas. it went another 300' and it smoked the tires about 400' out, almost hit the wall.

The car should be able to go 160mph to the 1/8 mile @ 24# of boost once the tuneup and the little issues are cleared up. Good news, its still in one piece.

When you make it to the track and come back with a car still in one piece you did something right.

Agreed. I made some careless mistakes, just alot of things going on with a new combo. Overall we found a few issues which was good, I hope to have them fixed by the end of the week, nothing really major.
- need to pull the exhaust and clean the oil out.
- replace front main seal
- drop the oil pressure 40-50#
- get some new longer bolts for the valve covers
- check the lash on the rockers
- loosen up the front shocks

So, are you gunna tweak the suspension to try to get it to hook, or are you gunna do it all with power management? Or both?

If we can pickup 20mph to the 1/8 mile with the same 16# of boost, we will be in good shape. 178mph to the 1/8 mile has a nice ring to it.

depends on the 60'. Ricky went 4.50x @ 169 on a 1.21 60'.

I pulled the car back into the shop. Work starts tomorrow AM to get the issues fixed. We got a long way to go.

I would say the new setup is making some serious power, probably capable of the most power ever made with a single turbo below 106mm with a LSx. If you pickup atleast 1mph / lb of boost that would be a min of 210 mph in the 1/4 on 40lbs... You will get the bugs worked out and shatter records.

Working on some changes for next time out...

Changing LCA angle
Shawn has some new cam/crank seals coming from Jesel
reduce the angle on the bullhorns
loosen up the front end extension
mount up a fresh set of rubber
clean out all the damn oil
