Yeah, I think that with 1100 average HP this thing is going to roll, I'll leave on the transbrake and 8-10psi.

Went over the car alittle this morning and checked alot of stuff. We found a problem with the dry sump mount, the aluminum is flexing causing the belt to ride the front of the pulley. I made an adjustable bracket to bolt to the back of the dry sump and the block. THe bracket eliminates the flexing and now the belt rides dead nuts in the center of the pulley. Going to finish it tomorrow/tuesday and than hit the track thursday.

did you scale the car? if its 2800lbs with out adding weight more than likely you'll have to add atleast 100lbs in certain areas to get it to go down the track...

pounds per square inch of tread patch is very critical on small tire cars....

on these street cars with small tires i think its important to get them light as possible so you can add the ballast needed in the specific areas of the car to get it down the track and to try and stay under a 3200lb race weight... unless you're making huge amounts of power than it really doesnt matter what you weight ... example brady's car... 3400lbs and runs like a raped ape because has huge amounts of power and has lots of weight but in the right places....

Haven't scaled it yet, we will do that thursday. I agree the weight needs to be in the right spot.

Your 100% right but did you see the orange car from Ohio? Bad boy weighs 3100lbs with a 91mm turbo setup.

Took this morning to get the car ready for some testing on thursday. Weather looks clear and should be mid 70s - density altitude will be under 1000'. We pulled the wastegates apart and picked up some smaller springs to drop the low boost setting so we can really start to use the AMS-1000 to control power for the first 300'. We pulled out the big blue(13psi) and going to throw in some small reds(4.5psi).

- We found a that the drive mandrel had a lose bolt so we pulled them and loctite/retorque'd them.
- Got the wheels cleaned up and checked the brake lines. Everything looks great, there was a drop of fluid on the passenger side brake caliper which could have been from bleeding.
- Added hose clamps on the overflow and the coolant bleed line
- cleaned up the interior

Tomorrow we'll
- Install the passenger seat
- finish cleaning up the interior
- Check the torque on the wheels, rear suspension ect
- Load the car in the hauler!

We're going to a track rental on thrusday. We want to make sure the car hits and goes straight, brakes work, pull the chute a couple times to get acclimated with packing. Since we changed the wastegate springs our low boost setting should be about 4-5psi, we'll start with 3# on the gates and bring in about 10# of CO2. The idea is to make a couple of 60-330' hits and maybe a couple of 1/8 mile passes. We've done as much as we can do to make sure the car is dead nuts on the alignment, if the car goes straight on the first couple passes we may be a soft 1/4 mile pass.

Eeh, don't be skeered. if it leaves strait on low boost and hooks, roll some more power into it. If you can get it to leave on 5 psi and roll it up to 13 psi before the 1/8th and all is well, repeat and run it out. You'll know right away if it's not gonna go strait.

I'm with ya. Right now the 2 step is set @ 3800 with the transbrake. Still have not found out how much boost it will make @ 3800.

With as much time and money into this project we're not going to take the chance and stuff it into the wall.

The best I can calculate....
3800rpm = 675
4250rpm = 875
4650rpm = 1000hp
5100rpm = 1075hp
5500rpm = 1096hp
5950rpm = 1095hp
6350rpm = 1080hp
6750rpm = 1080hp
7200rpm = 1073hp
7500rpm = 1070hp

Awesome #'s Phil. You did a great job on the car. I agree with the others, at 2800-ish pounds and 13psi you should be down in the 8.teens with a 1.2x 60'. Hold the F&@K on brother! Things happen very very quickly with that much power trust me.....be safe!

Oh yeah, do me a favor and cut off the damn tails on all those wire ties!!! Thats drivin' me nuts!

Craig
