Why waste it on the dyno. Run it for some good races then check it later. Just a thought.

How are the stang guys, that run 7.5, doing with their Ford engines? How different are those from LSX issues?

It's alot easier to see a problem before something bad happens in a controlled enviroment with lots of sensors than it is in a race car at the track.

you'll splinter that standard gear pretty quick... i'd keep looking while the car is running...

if you can find 2-3 other guys that need want the same gear you can have them custom made but you have to order a minimum of like 30 sets... just a thought...

Wolfe has been 7.30's on a std gear-we have been 7.50's on a std gear-i think it lasts longer than you think in a radial car

3400 && 1.33s. Mine are coming out this week and we'll see how they look before I put a set of the 9310s in.

Oh and there are a couple cars sub 7.50s that are using standard ford 9" gears. Hinzman is using standard 8.8" gears.

Sounds like changing the gear to get the RPM down is a possibility then As long as teh motor makes the power to get to the goal, if you can get the motor spinning 1000 rpm less then you are now it certainly may help/resolve the issue.

Nevermind then LOL.

I figured with the gearing change, that if you could get the same speed with 1000 less rpm you'd be that much better off.

I didn't realize that you were on a mission to go that fast.

I've got F-n 200 on the brain. We may need to switch turbos to take advantage of the new motor. 114mm should do the trick.

I thought you were going back the LSX route? 114mm huh..........****. Fill that ******* block and run it on alcohol. Quit pussyfooting around.
Does 114mm limit you on where you can run? Or is it generally just a single turbo rule of any size?

If we go the alky route it would be with the bs3.

BS3 cab run 2 sets of injectors, I can't imagine that 2 sets of 160 lb'ers wouldn't be enough if ya wanted to run alky.

I remember wormy having to adda 2nd set to their car because with the 114 mm they put on they actually ran out of fuel with the 160 lb'ers

Not sure what it was he was doing, I just remember seeing the intake set up with a 2nd set of injectors on it, and I remember they were going to 2 fuel pumps instead of one, not sure if it was 2 seperate fuel systems or what, I didn't pay that close attenion, I'm so far away from needing anything like that it's a whole different realm then what I'm doing. I just remember reading it and thinking woah, how the hell can a set of 160's not be enough if you're still running race gas.... then I checked one of those injector calculator websites and figured he was trying to get enough fuel system for about 3000 hp.

**** I hope someday I can say I'm making 1/3 of that LOL

yeah, there is no reason for more than 1 set of 160's in a small block-can easily make 2800hp with those-have to run alot of rail pressure but still it's no problem

That's what I always thought, that a set of 160's was good for as much power as a small block was really capable of producing.

Not sure why they were going to a 2nd set... they were putting a 2nd set on at one point yes?
