Need info on the Hawker lightweight battery
Where can I find this, and who has it the cheapest? Are any of you guys running this battery everyday, and if so, how do you like it?

Re: Need info on the Hawker lightweight battery
I have a hawker and leave it on the car all the time. I learned from this site not to leave any accessories on because there is no amp reserve in the battery if the car is not running. After the car is running, you will be find. I have left the car in garage for a week or two and it still starts with no problems.
I took an old battery tray and zip tied the hawker (battery was placed on its side facing the battery cables)to the tray. The battery tray was then fastened as a normal stock battery at the bottom of battery plate. I took the factory battery bolts out of cable and use the two screws attached to hawker battery and put two washers on outside and inside of screw to prevent going through the battery cables for attachment of cable to hawker battery. Therefore, the battery cables were no changed and no braces added, but just plain simple and no weight at all. The battery tray (plastic) weights nothing. I hope this helps.
This attachment has withstood launches from 1.59 and up.

Hey Brent I missed you at the track man. Your car was looking really nice man and flying.
Brian I run that exact Hakwer Battery, I just took out the stock terminals and a used bolt and washer on both sides of the terminal ring to bolt it to the battery.
I will find pictures of mine and email them to you.
