Cool pics Taubr, I hope to have some of the mini tub soon so I can post with the relocated panhard bracket/bar, lca's and shocks. Back seat still fits with a 17" tub =)

Few pics of the progress on my 94. I've made more progress since these were taken, but no pictures.

I think it's a chromoly PA racing front end, with what looks to be a copy of BMR's stands on it. When I put the motor in, it located the motor completely against the firewall. Oh well, I got a smoking deal on the K member, a arms, and steering set up. Just used motor plates and all is good. Madman torque arm and SJM chromoly control arms and phb, and a wolfe anti-roll bar. Going to be a carbed 406 SBC and a t400 with a brake.

Put the motor against the firewall? Better do some chopping and cutting for the distributor.

What stuff are you going to put in your 406? My buddy is running a 406 it runs 9.70's on the motor so far but we still have some tuning to do, it's been 9.30's on a 100 shot, but we still haven't even touched the ladder bars yet.

Motor made 790 hp with 32* of timing N/A.

What rims and tires you going with? Going to mini tub or any custom fab work?

PS whats up with the dark blue k-member and arms?

It was against the firewall with it on those motor mounts. With madmans motor plates and a 6spd crossmember everything was exactly where it was supposed to be. Regular msd dizzy will work fine.

Its just a pretty basic 406, 11:1, dart iron eagle platinum heads with 215cc runners, solid roller, victor jr, ect, ect. Should make 550 or so. I'm assuming that your friends 406 isn't running 23* heads?

I'll be using polished weld magnums. 15x10 in the rear and 1 piece magnums in the front.

The K member and A arms are actually purple, but I'll send them out to be changed to black before final assembly. They were just that color when i bought them

Ok just a question, you can't run 11-1 on pump gas with an iron head so why did you only go 11-1?

No we're running an 18* head.

Sounds like a cool set up.

It's ok if you like purple we won't tell anyone

My old carb setup was a 377 13-1 solid roller with afr 210 heads, super victor, holley hp 950, 4340 rods and crank with an annular fogger on it. I ran lower side of 10's on the motor 9.30 on juice.

Mine was way over tired though would have went a lot faster on a tire 5" narrower.

Guess I'm not sure what you're asking? Tansmission - to - loop clearance? or clearance for the driveshaft inside the loop?

You could if you had the timing turned back and kept it cool. But the real reason is b/c when I built this motor the first time around it was on a fairly small budget and flat-tops were the best way for me to go. They're just hypers, I'm not expecting this motor to live forever lol. Oh well, at $3.00 a gallon for pump gas, $5 race gas doesnt seem so far out of line haha.

I'll get after the motor combo after this one lets go, the rest of the car is being built to basicly support an 8.50 capable motor and pass.

yeah but running no timing would kill all of your power to start with.

11-1 is good start for a little blower on alky =)

Driveshaft to loop; just trying to help

I know I had mine all welded up solid before I decided to take a step back and look Mine needed to be offset to the right of the car a bit.

Ok, yep I know what you're referring to now. When I had my mock up trans in the car I thought it looked like it might be a little tight to the right side once the driveshaft was in the car.

How far over did you move yours over? I may have to do the same.

Appreciate the advice!

Is that the madman torque arm set up? My cross bar is straight with no bend in it.

In the first picture it looks like your torque arm crosses paths with where the drivshaft would go?

It's a Wolfe

Torque Arm front mount is not on yet. T/A just mounted to rear, does look funny.

http://www.fquick.com/garages/Chevro...Z28/1999/2213/

That's his page with his setup, it is 3100 with him in it, 2925 without.

Car looks very stock in appearance without a lot of noticeable weight reductions, if it had the back seat in it would look stock minus the front race seats.
