I agree. It will only be in the low 9's. I think it will handle that just fine.

Yeah, your right Dave. You better just enjoy what you have for the summer. It sounds like a nice car for a great price. You can start thinking about a race car next winter lol.

Well here is a up dated picture of what the car looks like now after the new wheels/tires and mini tub work.
I also put decals on for my business. I do collision repair and just about any kind of body/paint work you could think of.

I hope the car works really well with the improved rear suspension. It would cut 1.36-1.41 60'. I will be very pleased if I can get 1.33-1.34 out of it. Anything more than that would be like Christmas lol.

Thanks Dave.

Sean. I'm not completely finished with the weight removal but it was 2550 with no hood (15lbs) and no bottle and no driver in it and 6 gallons of gas when it left my buddies house who did the mini tubs. Now when I got it home I cut the door beams out, ditched the door panels and removed a large piece of steel out of the inner quarter's that are about 4-5 lbs each.
I'm hoping for about 2500lbs even on the car with no bottle in it or driver.

My old weight was 2630lbs with no driver.

That is really impressive. I can't wait to see what it runs after the weight reduction and other work.

Right on Scott. It is a piece. I hope to catch you out this year. How is that car coming along?

The car is coming along slowly. I keep adding more things to do to it

Right now I'm working on getting the VFN hood installed & have been slowly fabricating the dzus hood rails. After that's done I'm going to cut out the rear t-top well & bring the floor up higher. The fuel cell is just way too low down in the t-top well like I have it now, and I'd like to be able to easily pump gas into it.

LOL, the list never stops buddy. I figured that out a long time ago... I try to get a car to a point were it can be driven or raced and do a few mods a year in the down time. Like in the winter. That way I can play with it all season then tear it down in the winter for up grades and maintenance work.

Let me know when those dzus fasteners kick your ***. They can be a bitch to get all lined up at once. That is why I picked up some race craft dzus rails for the fenders. It looks clean and they are all even down the hood lol.

I'll check your build out tonight.
