I've been thinking about ditching that to. I recently set up a 56 bel air with fcar brakes and a 7/8 wilwood master. The brakes feel great on it. I would probably jump up a size on the master for my own purposes.

Yep I don't have everything finished but is should be fine for the limited street driving I do. On the other hand I smoked a pair of strange rotors with the power brakes so proportioning valve and manual brakes it is.

I doing that and moving the computer inside, really frees up a bunch of space under the hood. Deleting a bunch of useless wires off of the interior body harness and engine harness. Knocked around 7-8lbs of wire out. Adding back in a 2 step and nitrous harness that will negate those gains.

FYI - convertible top (4th gen Fbody) hydraulic pump, motor, lines and cylinders = ~15lbs

No regrets, the top is easy to put up and down without it. Actually I can operate manually quicker than with the power. Only downside is you need to get out of the car.

Finally took my SLP Dual Dual off . Great looking cat back just very heavy. Replaced it with a single Dynomax 17223 Ultra Flo muffler and turn down, kept the SLP over the axle pipe. Very happy with the fitment, sound and weight. Muffler was around 9-10lbs the piping was around 3-5lbs so around 15-20lbs savings all in all. Weighed my muffler with tips 33lbs.

Moser cast 9 inch housing, bare, narrowed 3 inches per side, backbrace, lower arm relos and stock swaybar mounts. 80lbs

Moser aluminum center section, spool. 55lbs

35 spline axles were about 50, and TA mount was about 15. So about 200 complete no brakes.

Just weighed my car and it was 3560.
Others have reported a fully loaded stock 2000 A4 SS with 3/4 tank of gas weighs 3513 without them in it.

Based on these weights I put on 821.1 lbs of stuff and took off 775 lbs of stuff for a difference of 46.1
3513 + 821.1 - 775 = 3559.1.... damn it.....one or more of these parts below are off by about 0.9 lbs LOL

My car weighed 3430 stock. When I'm in race form with stock seats full interior in my car you're like 600lb heavier.

I feel much better now. Never added or subtract parts on or off but damn near out of gas and without me in the car it weighed 3520. I've got a iron block and .120 wall mild steel cage though. Maybe someday we'll get to that magical sub 3000 pound range.
