The more I look at it, the more I want one. Looks killer. I would need some swingouts though, for DD use. Not that I drive it much.

Interesting build, never seen one like that before.

And it's a roll bar, not a cage.

Good job!

10.00 You need the front bars that go down thru the dash for 9.99 to 8.50

You need a 5 pt harness in there now

It's just not growing on me yet...It looks like great work, I'm just not big on the design of it in the back.

a cage would have the bars along the roof and down the a-pillar. the driver is completely surrounded by the "cage". the difference between a 6 point and 8 point "rollbar" is the 2 small bars that run diagonally to the floor behind the front seats toward the tunnel make it an 8 point instead of a 6 point. an 8 point cage has all the front bars to make up a "cage but do not have the 2 short angled bars to the tunnel. if it had those bars it would make it a 10 point cage. hope this helps. im sure someone else can explain it better.

He will need padding around where his head is on the back hoop and a 5 pt harness to go thru tech for a car as fast as 10.0, if the car is slower then 11.49, it will just need the padding.

a 6 point will not pass NHRA tech for 9.99 and quicker. It needs to have the halo (top hoop that goes from the main hoop behind the driver to the windsheild edge), front downbars, driver and passenger door bars, down angled bars from main hoop to either subframe connectors or front plate of rear frame rails, and back bars. The minimum point for a cage to be 9.99 and quicker NHRA legal is 8-point (which I am counting based on # of points at the floor, but if you add in the halo it would be a 10-point), the minimum for a roll bar to be NHRA legal is a 5-point (main hoop, driver's door bar and back bars).
