Default Lowerd cars hows your sixty foots ?

I'm looking to lower my car because it sits to high in street trim but I don't want to hurt the sixty foots. The front is not a problem I have the Hals and can adjust height. I just need some springs for the back that aren't to stiff.
My car is a 383 LT1 put down 468 rwhp na I plan on hitting it with 200 shot.

I know that there are alot of you guys that are lowerd can you help a brother out ? thanks

1. what kind of springs ?
2. what is your sixty ?
3 any info on your combo that you feel would be usefull.
4 pics are always good.

Street trim sits like a 4x4.

Drag trim not so bad but could be better.

Thanks, They are Bogarts bolted rt's road race race rims.

That's a nice sixty foot for a 17in drag M6 car. I will be running a 28x10.50 tire for the track. Anyone else ?

Stock shocks with Eibachs and aftermarket rear suspension. Best of 1.58 with 11.5x26 ET streets with an M6 at 3850 lbs. Most of the time it is mid-low 1.6s.

1. what kind of springs ? I run 2 1/2" X 10" coil over springs 150# rate
2. what is your sixty ? Best 60 FT 1.30 Nitrous 377 / 250 shot / th400 (old combo)
3 any info on your combo that you feel would be useful. If the car is the average weight drag car, I would run a 150# spring, if it is heavy or really high HP you might try a 175# spring, I doubt you'd get the car light enough to run a 130# spring. Set up your shocks to 50/50 if you use C/E rear shocks, or #5 to start with if you run a QA1/Hal type shock, double adjustable shocks start with both settings on 5/5.
4 pics are always good. I don't have many pics since I haven't taken any since the tubs I put in, but my fender lip to the ground is 26 3/4" off the ground.

Here is a pic, car is actually lower now.

Wow your car looks great slamed nice color to. What rpm did you leave at ? Do you feel you could improve your sixty with a set of 28x11.5. I'm really hoping for atleast 1.3's

Just an thought, what if you picked up a second set of stock rear springs and cut them a little bit? At least this way if it doesn't work and wont hook up, you aren't really out much money and you've always got your originals to go back to.

I'm strongly considering doing this on my build.

I ran an Art Carr TH400 RMVB with TB, and a Art Carr 9" 4,500 stall lock up converter, and it locked up hard. Worked awesome I was running great times for my mph, at LACR (motor only) I ran as fast as 10.88 with only 120 mph, keep in mind this was at a DA of close to 4,000. I think the 60ft back then at that track was around 1.45 on the motor.

Car was a little slower than it would have been, I really needed a 5,500 on the motor and more gear, but on the nitrous it was all go

I have got all the good suspension stuff done but I was told that with lowering springs which tend to be stiffer you might not get the proper weight transfer needed which could result in poorer sixty fts.

I doubt 28s would fit under. I had to roll the lip and massage the inner fender a bit. The tires still rub a tad on launch. It squats quite a lot with these springs. I rev to ~5500 and get off the clutch fast. I'm surprised it has done 1.5x with the weight and M6 and a 3.42 gear.

How much did the Eibach Pro Kit lower the car. I want the car to have that low stance but still sixty your kind of numbers.

Any pics of your setup ?
