Question People with ozite carpte come in!

How much weight do you save?

How much will I need for my 02 SS?

How much is it?

Where can I order it from?

What all do I need to complete the install?

Does anyone have any pictures or suggestions of how I need to do it?

THANKS!

Here is where I got mine.

http://yourautotrim-store.stores.yah...darkgrey1.html

It saves a lot of weight over the factory carpet, is not too bad to install. I used spray adhesive to hold it down.

3-4 yards will do but I ordered extra and was glad I did.

Installed it on my car last summer. Did it when I put a 6 pt wolfe steel bar in the car. The weight from before and after the bar with the old carpet out and new stuff in was about the same. I think the car weighed maybe 20 lbs more than before the bar? Pretty significant loss of weight and it looks good too. Just be sure to run a floormat or it will fray up and wear thin under your right foot if youre not careful.

The stock carpet weigh's over 40 lbs with the backing on it, you will need to get 4 yards, and ya will use probably 90% of it. THe 4 yards shipped weight, with about a mile of plastic around it was 10 lbs, and figure there's a little scrap, so ya probably end up with about 6 or 7 lbs for all the carpet in the car.

Spray adhesive works to hold it down, stretch it as you go, and do small sections, seaming corners as needed. Dap wood contact cement also works great for areas that you really need it stuck down good, like under your feet.

I've done my car once, will be doing it again in the near future, and will be doing eastside's drag radial car in the next couple weeks. Just take your time, and it will come out great.

5 yards will be plenty, 4 is enough to do the job. I got 6 for the shop's car because they are going to have me carpet where the trunk used to be, so I needed some more and wanted to make sure I had enough.

Dark charcoal, it is so close of a match to the factory color that comes in a car with the "ebony" interior, it's not evn funny.

Would there be any issues laying this ozite over the dynamat? I figure it would counteract the weight of the added dynamat.
