adj Torque Arm and True Duals?
adj Torque Arm and True Duals? I need to knock my 60fts down and figured I would start with getting rid of my stock Torque Arm and getting an adjustable one and only problem is I have 3" true duals so I am not sure what all will fit.
I am looking for the best adj Tq Arm that will fit with 3" True Duals?
Any suggestions?
I searched and found this one. It shows to be installed on a car with TD's in the pics at bottom of page. My exhaust looks pretty close to the exhaust in the pics.

Most of the trans mounted arms will work. then you can get a relocation cross member to take it off the trans. I had a full length BMR and their cross member that worked with TSP duals. When I upgraded to a Wolfe torque arm, I had to lose the duals.
what exhaust setups will fit the wolfe?

That one bolts in where the tunnel brace is. You can make it work, but you'll have ground clearance issues.
Whats the long term usage or goals for this car going to be? If you want to keep the duals and the setup isnt going to be radical, I would just stay with a full length with a relocation cross member. Maybe invest in a chromoly one to save some weight. It'll work good, allow you to run any exhaust you want, and retain good ground clearance. If its a more drag oriented setup, select the torque arm you want first and deal with whatever exhaust you can fit around it.

yea, street car that goes to track 3-4 times a year.
It weighs 3760 lbs with me in it and runs 7.10's in the 1/8 now and gets a 1.59-1.62 60 ft with stock T/A, just want to get the 60 fts in the 1.50-1.55 range N/A and maybe put a 100-150 shot of NOS later in the year.
The exhaust must stay on the car so I'll work around that.

I'm using a UMI arm with the BMR relocation mount. This set up clears my TSP duals. Like the above posts stated a good set of front shocks also make a big difference. I got some Afco's from MadMan give him a call. The torque arm also made the rear track truer. I was surprised that the arm made that much of a difference. This set up knocked a soild tenth off my 60'. Went from 1.5's to 1.4's. There is more left with more passes and some tweaking of the shock settings.

If you have a true dual set-up similar to the TSP like we show in our installation pictures then a tunnel mounted torque arm is not going to clear. Our transmission mounted set-up is designed to offer additional clearance for most true dual set-ups.

I also got this mount to get the Tq Arm off of the trans.
Should have plenty of clearance and if not, maybe a lil tweaking of my exhaust but nothing like the chassis monuts would require.
Maybe I can knock off .05-.10 from my 60 ft over my stock Tq Arm. . . . . maybe I am dreaming, lol. We'll see in a cpl of weeks.

Tq Arm is installed. There is a DEFINITE difference in the way the car feels and the way the car transfers weight with light throttle depression compared to the stock Torque Arm. It definitely "feels" better but no launches with burn outs to see how it does. There are really no good streets anyway around here.
You can defintely feel the trans shift harder in every gear when just cruising around.
I'll have to wait until I hit the track although I am definitely happy with it so far. The track will tell the true story.
Went on with NO problems or modifications. I was real impressed with not having to clearance the tunnel, move the exhaust a lil, etc. it was a direct bolt in and I guess I got lucky that the exhaust shop gave me that much clearance when they installed my exhaust even though I had a stock Torque Arm. I have heard others had to modify or tweak the exhaust a lil for clearance but no such problem on my car.
