I'm looking to run high 10's at an IHRA track and need to know if a transmission blanket is required. Also do they have the same roll bar padding rule as NHRA? I found a nice cheap roll bar pad in the color I want but it's not SFI approved.
Here is what I am buying/have so far:
SN2000 helmet
Single layer fire jacket
5 point harness
6 point roll bar
Driveshaft safety loop
Fire extinguisher
Tranny blanket???
SFI approved roll bar padding????
Anything else I am missing?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I did a search but only got NHRA info.

Try www.ihra.com I'd guess you'll need similar stuff to NHRA's 10 second rules but only way to know for sure is get a rulebook and/or check their site.

10.99 requires a tranny blanket, SFI balancer, aftermarket axles, and c clip eliminators.
The open ended lug applies to the rule of the stud penetrating 1/4 into the head of a shanked lug nut. The easiest way to identify that is to have an open ended lug nut.
I've never been hassled about SFI padding, but the rules say that if your head can hit it, it needs to be padded

Wow. Thanks for the replies. I think I'll go to the track this weekend and talk to some of the 10 second guys and find out what they actually enforce at our track. I don't mind the little stuff but I wanted keep using my stock 10 bolt until it breaks.
