PC680 is most common here. If it's stock location battery it works well. Just don't leave anything on. The Braille is lighter as it's carbon fiber. I will probably try one of them.

Keep the info and advice coming. I will be making a purchase very soon.

Did I mention this is for a DD? I hope I'm not shooting myself in the foot for getting a pin on hood and a weak battery.

But then again a mod is a mod!

On a side note my VFN pin on was ordered today. 6 week wait!

I cant wait to see how she handles once all that front weight is gone!

How are these working with a good load on them. I'll be running 2 large fuel pumps and a meth pump along with the usual stuff. The small battery would give me a nice place to mount my meth tank.

I have a Dynabatt in mine. Never had a problem, and I can have the car sit for a week without running, and it starts right up.

Braille Auto has a new 17 lb. racing battery. PN#2317. I'm thinking of replacing the heavyass redtop Optima for this one. And it beats the hassle of relocating to the rear and having a cut off switch-NHRA requirement.

I have the Odyssey Pc680 and it runs like a champ. It was in my car most of the winter starting it every so often and made it pretty well. I do DD this and I have never had a problem. I also dont push it too far either though with accessories and those things.

Lightweight batteries are one of those "defining" mods that separate DDs from race cars. It really sounds like you are planning a street legal racecar, rather than a real DD, so go for it.

id really like to shed the weight with a light battery, but i run a bit of electric equipment.
what do you guys think?
ls1 fans
tranny fan
electric fuel pump
water pump
and i also might put a nitrous kit back on the car. i know the issues with bottle warmers, that wont be a problem.
it sees some street time, i dont wanan be on the side of the road.
