Everybody has heard so many stories about how it seems that the 10 bolts sometimes do well for a while and even more stories on how trashy they are...show em....I'd like to see some proof haha. Crazyness!
TH350 with a Fuddle 3600 Nitrous Converter.
7.20 @ 96.35mph with a 1.60 60'
Factory 3.42 rear end with factory gear, bearings, axles and all.
The only modification to the rear end is a TA stud girdle.
I launch mine as hard as I possibly can off the line, if the bastard breaks it breaks! And by the way I made over 120 passes this year and would say that this rear end has at least 160-170 plus 80k on the clock.

Chris, you've convinced me to keep my 10 bolt (until I don't have a choice). See my mods in sig. No track times yet, but plenty of street abuse. Starting next season it will see less street time and more track time.

Well as far as i know isnt the problem blowing them up more common with a M6 car? I have read on this site of people blowing them up with stock power and slicks in 6 speed cars. I know not everything you read is true though.
I was also told by a friend that there are two different styles of 10 bolts?

everyone I know on the internet has a friend that blew one up with an m6 with stock power.
me personally, i've got many high rpm launches on a stock 3.42 10 bolt with an m6. more power than stock on the motor.

2nd 10 bolt here..the 1st one made it to like 115k miles..that one had 2.73's in it..and the only mods i had were BFG DR's, a cutout, and a lid..now i have a stock 10 bolt out of a 6 speed car..i've pulled a 1.69 on it with the times in my sig..i'm about to put some 315's on the back and spray a 100 shot out of the hole and see what happens..i just stall it to about 1200 rpm and on the 3rd yellow i put it to the floor..the car only made 351 on motor and i dont have any dyno numbers on the spray..but it should be interesting to see how it goes when i spray it..i'm not really scared about breaking the 10 bolt..i mean i only payed 175 bucks for it..i'm just scared about having an axle break and i put the car into the wall or something

But i guess ill restate it in a better way, "As far as i know in Manual 6 speed cars they have a greater chance to break there 10 bolts when not stock powered then the A4 guys. By stating "as far as i know" i ment from what i have heard, this was ment to make people think that, its what i have heard and may not be true because not everything you hear or read is....
so i dont understand why he quoted me. so Whats up?
It would be nice to see more M6 guys chim in so i can get a better idea of how much people have put threw there 10 bolt without breaking in a "6speed car" Thanks.
