Default Summertime boredom, how about some new wheels :)

After four years I figured it was time to retire the old Bogart SS wheels I have been running, got to say they have taken a beating and still look great but I wanted something a little different this time around.

I always liked the M/T front wheels, had a pair for quite a while and recently picked a pair of M/T 15x10 4.5 BS double beadlocked rear wheels. Think it looks pretty good, have to narrow the rear some naturally. Thanks to Bob at EPP for letting me borrow his M9 TH400 crossmember to see if it clears my 25.5 bars under the car. If it does I'll probably do a M9 setup and save some weight over my regular Moser 9 inch, if not I'll just get my housing shortened and axles cut/resplined.

I dont really need beadlocks but its nice to be able to swap tires in about 10 minutes and no more stripped rim screws, not to mention it looks kinda cool I think. Bad news is I picked up around 5lbs a wheel, but the fronts lost 3lbs a wheel so its not that bad I guess

Loving the wheels, and personally I love the beadlock rears.

Those look pretty good, I so want to put a set of the new Taylor Weld wheels on my car... I haven't seen a single car with them yet, which would increase the factor big time.

Beadlocks are the way to go IMO, the sidewall is more evenly hit with them, the tire takes less of a beating.

I'm starting to get the feeling you're about to start making some more HP. Car looks good as always.

Yea, I'm hoping the tires last a little longer with these, I only get about 20-25 good passes now on a set of tires.

Looks great! Is there any issue with double beadlocks and a 4.5" backspace? When I was ordering my wheels, I thought they said something like 3.5" of backspace was the cut-off? Maybe it varies by wheel and beadlock manufacturer.

Depends on the wheel, some can go to 6.5, some cant go over 3.5 BS, it all has to do with mounting the tire, if you look at these wheels the way they are made the tires just fall in because of the huge drop in the center. If there is little taper/drop or its all towards the front of the wheel then you will never get the tire over the back side.

The tires took me about 15 seconds to mount with these by hand with no lube but the drop is pretty extreme on these wheels.
