All very interesting. I was hopeing to see the new track times when I got to the end. Maybe I will soon? Either way. Good **** to the OP. I would love to have a set-up that sounds stock but is a nasty beast...

A full list of Your bolt ons would be nice. I reinstalled my stock cam to get the fuel economy back. With Pure interstate driving, my best was 27 mpg with 410's. My average is now 22 mpg with a little playing around. I'm pretty much a novice at the track, the car did 13.4 @ 108 mph on a slick track. Finding a good tuner can be tricky...and it appears your tune did wonders...who tuned your car?

Nice numbers Russ. Those who don't believe the numbers now will probably be even more shocked once you run it

This is just crazy. Ive seen heads/cam/ cars with these numbers. What are we missing here. What is the point of putting a huge cam in a car when you can get these numbers with a stock cam. With ported ls6 heads and a 238/242 /600/612 on a 111lsa i did like 430 locked on a mustang dyno. I know thats more than what he put down but not much.
Im not saying this is bull ****,i would just like to understand it more. Did God Tune this car?

Alex

PS Im very surprised after 5 pages others arent completely freaking out on how awesome these numbers are.

There is another GTO with AI 243 heads and a Tiger Shark Cam making 500 to the wheels with the belt off.

The tuning is right on, it is done right.

Seeing big gains going to a SD tune and driveability is as good or better than with the MAF.

It's alot of fun making good power!

I'm shocked, I was planning on doing a bolt on cam only car but this thread changed my mind. He has cam only numbers with literally stock drivability and gas milage. Now I'm doing the heads first, I don't expect to see anywhere near his numbers but if I'm disappointed with my results I'll just throw a cam in it and be that much better off.

Any ETA on those track times?

You guys dont understand what AI can do with lt1 heads. If you saw some of there Lt1 results you wouldn't be surprised on why there ls1 heads are making so much better. These guys know what they are doing.

30 - 40 hp is normal gain for heads. These gained 30, good, nothing wrong with that, nothing out of the norm. Car picked up power a bunch from other stuff, odd. Rockers that picked up 27 hp. Never seen that one before.

Unless , what timing does it like?

agreed nothing out of the norm he is running full bolt ons,no belt, EWP, rockers, etc...gains are about right...

i do always wonder why more people dont go this route, the price in the end is probably a wash, cam only vs heads only

Timing is basically stock, 22 degrees from 3500 RPM on up, little more at lower RPM's.

And no, still havent gotten to run the car yet damnit. I'm busy about every Saturday, and then Sunday's it seems to rain every time. Darlington runs on Saturdays, Carolina runs Sundays, both are 3 hours away. Pain in the *** I tell you.

With that low timing on a 241 head Im assuming it has a good amount of compression in it, especially considering the very short cam timing.
