Default dyno results hurt!!

went to ed wright auto in tulsa. and tuned and dyno ran for about 6 hours. results are unsatisfying for me and ed. ed definately knows his **** though. i will put that out there for anyone needing to know a good lt1 tuner

---383ci LT4 with AFr 220 heads and lt4 RPM intake
---ATI procharger at 10psi
---3500 stall
---4l80e manual valvebody trans
---moser 9" with 3.60 gears and locker
---aeromotive fuel system
---hooker long tubes

ed did tell me to hook my wideband up and definately adjust spark gap down to .035 from .045.

we definately know it is not running out of fuel

from the dyno chart it definately doesnt look like a misfire would be occuring. doesnt sound like a misfire. but i know for a fact that a stock 383 will make 400 RWHP.

with my combination already with that information should be enough to tell everyone that i should be making more than 375RWHP and 378RWTQ please any input would be greatly appriciated please post or email pyronotic138@yahoo.com or catch me on aim pyronotic138.

Sounds like you're a solid 100rwhp off to me, anyways, with that Procharger. I think you're right that on motor you should be near the 400 mark, but you are running through one heavy-***, power-robbing drivetrain. It's almost like the blower is just there for looks.

what kind of percent do you think a 3500 stall, 4l80, and 9 inch is robbing from it

It's practically the most power robbing combo you could have but it still sounds like something is off......

the only reason i did this combo is because of the amount of power that this WAS supposed to have. lol. i will definately do a compression check. when we were at eds though. he got the AFR perfect for the running conditions. but anywho. any other opinions

Did Ed tune it, or did you just go there to dyno? Were you logging the runs? We had AK95ta's car on the rollers last year and the knock sensors were picking up the blower. It was pulling 14 degrees of timing. We could see exactly when it happened in the log. We knew that the motor was in good working order, and played with the knock retard settings. It went from like 390 to 500+. He is on here if you want to ask him about it.

Edit:Reading comprehension owns me. I re-read the op and saw that Ed tuned it. Sounds like it's time to move on to a mechanical issue.

What cam did you install and did you degree it in to verify the VE's? I would make sure you do not have a blown head gasket or any vacuum leaks. Are you sure your rings are sealing? Maybe a couple injectors are not firing. Does everything sound oK?

To OP can you post the graph? Might be helpful to see it, there are already some good ideas in here of things to try though.

What was the optimum AFR that you mention? +1 on knock causing or other cause, pulling timing, something to check regardless. Locked converter? 1:1 gear pull on the dyno (which gear is 1:1 in a 4L80E, 4th?)? If not then could be that the dyno ran in the wrong gear.

Danggg. Something is off. +2 to the timing issue, and the only thing that could possibly rob your combo of more hp would be a th400. Take her to the track and see what she runs? Your combo should put down some bad *** times!!!
