Default Mild 408 build #'s

I know I am going to catch a load of crap but I don't have the dyno sheets right now. I will post them as soon as I get them though Not going to list everything but here are the big things though.
Forged Iron 408 built and tuned by Race Proven Motorsports
MS3 on a 114LSA
PRC 2.5 5.3s undecked
ported FAST92/95tb
ARH 1 7/8" LTs & ory
Magnaflow catback
built t56
S60 with 4.10s
(no cutout/ stock waterpump)
SAE #'s where 495whp and 471wtq
uncorrected where something like 508whp/479wtq

My 36#ers where maxed at 103% duty cycle, so they will have to be swapped out here shortly along with a new set of heads. But needless to say that I was very impressed with the power it made. It had a somewhat stockish torque curve which is what I was shooting for. Sorry to post without a sheet but i am so damn excited about it

My friend had the stage III PRC LS6 heads (milled) with the MS3, unported 90/90 on a 113 and made 487hp with similar torque on a LS2 402. You're numbers seem nice. There is another guy on here with a 402/408 with MS3 and PRC stage 1 LS6's making about 500 too.

#'s look very good for the setup.

WK- you run different heads which run smaller Cams.

I will get a video of it tomorrow. Street drivability is great which is another thing that I was shooting for. It has a rough spot at 1500 in any gear which will have to be addressed with on the tune but overall is awesome. I almost took it out tonight but decided against it, and glad I did. Cops where out everywhere lol. It sure as hell doesn't lobe nor sound like a 500hp car. Sounds like it has something though

mild setup, heavy s60 w/4.10's, I'd say your numbers are looking good. Cutouts would wake up your set up a lot. You have a lot of room to grow with some better heads, but enjoy your car as is throw some 42#'rs in there to bring the duty cycle down.

Subscribing for the thread bro !!!

Thanks Doug, it will make alot more but going to take some time though. This is all I could afford at the moment. I do want to get a set of low-pro QTP e cutouts off of both collectors. I did have a set of 3" true duals on it before but it didn't fly with the UMI tranny xmember with SFCs, so that is why I went to the y pipe to guarantee fitment for now. I need to swap the clutch out too, still running the LS7 clutch that was left over also with that heavy LS2 flywheel. I don't think it is going to last very long at all lol

I did also take it to the track but am really needing a line lock. The best I got out of 2 runs was 12.1@121 with an horrible 2.0 60". By the 1/8, I only ran 8.0@90 so I really need to work on that. It was my first time out with power like that so it will take some getting used to (bogged really bad at the light). Not going to lie but i was nervous as hell too.

Cut him some slack, he said he was nervous. Did you stay in the run until the end or let out? I ask because 121 with 500 rwhp and 4.10 gearing is quite slow. I'd have expected at least 126+, even with bad air and timid driving.

He gained 31mph from the 1/8 to the end. That is picking up some serious mph so its throwing down some good hp no doubt. I am not sure of his location, but elevation, track temperature, humidity all of these things affect your times and mph. If you spin your *** off to the 1/8th its hard to have a good time / mph by the 1/4. A little spin will not hurt but half of the track wont help.

Unless you ran at the same track as him during the same night you really cannot compare different cars, locations, days, to anything but the same track. I see it all to often, some of you guys run -1000 da and some guys run 2000+ da but people always say you should be trapping 1XXmph but they are not even in the same state.

I ran at Cecil County Drag Strip in Rising Sun MD. It is normally well below sealevel, but happened to be +2500 that night. I bogged both runs at the light and never dropped the hammer. As long as I can get a good 1/8 instead of a 8.0 which can be had with a bolt on car then you all know the answer to that. The last time I was able to run at the track 1/4 was with some bolt ons and BFG radials. Showing up with a 408 is a little different and I need to completely relearn this car again with a little courage lol. That and get rid of my LS7 clutch which will last all of nothing trying to get a unreal 60' more than a couple times. I also don't have a line lock yet either which I think is about manditory now.
