auto school kids = biggest dumbasses on earth, i graduated from auto school and met a few smart people but mostly the dumbest people on earth while i was there. i wouldn let 90% of those people touch my car, they all talk like they know everything but then you watch them try to actually do something to a car and they stand there and stare and cant figure out why the car is not starting with the ignition relay pulled out of the fuseblock. Even scarier is when you see these kids cars that they drive, the only mods they have are a shiny "cold air intake", stupid fart cans, stickers and weak systems that often fry wires/catch their car on fire, back to the subject

your not going to make 1000hp for 10k, stay in auto school the amount of stuff you learn by the time you graduate will tell you how stupid you are now about cars, not tryin to be a dick here but i was the same way

a 1000hp car is going to be a purpose built CAR, not an engine but the whole car

i know right now you prolly think you can throw 10k into your ls1 and make 1000hp but not gonna happen you may get halfway there but thats about it

what auto school are you going to anyways? just curious

those ******* tards dont realize that it would take close to 10k in motor work alone to withstand 1000whp using a ******* honda platform/drive train...

As everyone has said, do yourself a favor and tell these queers to eat **** and keep dreaming.

If you already had a fairly decent engine to start with say an LQ4 and went the turbo route you could probably get close on race fuel and a lot of boost but no way in hell will you even pull one dyno run on it because all $10k will be in the motor and nothing will be in the transmission, rear end or suspension. Remember there is a guy that broke 700 rwhp with a turbo 4.8 on the stock bottom end. I'd say some better rods, bolts and heads with a turbo putting around 20 psi with some 104+ race gas would get in the 900s. It won't last long though...HAHAHAHA!

Oh and my cousin is building a 404 stroker from an LQ4 and he's going to break $10k and probably put down almost 600rwhp.

His combo...

LQ4 iron block
4.01" bore -2cc Weisco pistons with N2O rings
4" stroke Eagle forged LS1 crank
Eagle H beam rods
ARP bolts/studs throughout
TEA ported Trick Flow 225cc heads
Pat G custom EPS lobed cam 24X/24x low 600s lift
FAST 102/102
1 7/8 headers

1. Im planning on staying here in school and driving my 300 hp car.
2. I know im not going to get 1000whp out of my LS1 and im not trying to. I just made this thread to give you guys a laugh and see how many idiots on here would argue that it could be done. And i dont really consider myself stupid about cars. Ive been around a little... Had my hands on a couple decent running cars...
3. Im going to Wyotech. There are a few kids that know a lot and have some pretty decent running cars and I can actually have a conversation with them without wanting to punch them in the face for being so stupid. There are also some kids that are/have already flunked the first phase and probably wont ever make it...

Without a doubt...electric blower, some performance stickers and a 2x4 spoiler would get the trick done wouldn't it? Like I said if you already had a 6.0 iron block motor to start with you could probably get close but it's not going to hold up long even on an engine dyno.

It is easy to get 1000HP in a Honda. VTEC, 100 stickers and BAM 1000 HP. You know each sticker is at least 10 HP. Seriously though if you owned a shop and got a lot of donated parts and all ready had a roller with a cage and a good rear you could MAYBE get it done for 10K. I doubt it even then. HP especially that much isn't cheap or easy to get. Look at who has done it and how much they spent.

It's funny how all you guys are so quick to start bragging and talking ****.

Am i new to ls1's? yep sure am since i worked for Ford Motor Co for 17yrs.............

Dude my last 4cyl build made 426rwhp with a stock 100 dollar shortblock

factory form it made 185 at the flywheel..............

I am going to lift my 317's with pyramid rings huh??? Start reading kids....

You guys want hard facts? over the summer i went 9.16 with a stock ls2 shortblock with trick flow225 heads and factory headgaskets factory bolts super victor intake with a hp 950 carb and 175 single plate shot thru the mufflers with a turbo 400 and a used converter on 1.99 a gallon e85. did i ever say u needed race gas????

in a MUSTANG!!

You guys don't believe me than dont .No matter to me but it can be done for 10K!

Are you going to have the car first??? yes i already said this didn't i?

And who is saying you cant build a kick *** engine from used parts???

Never heard that before either...................

if you guys want to spend the money on heads and other items go ahead man do it but u can make 1000 rwhp on stock heads stock manifolds stock crank and stock block! it has been done already guys .............. just research it

LS1, stock block, stock crank and stock heads. 1000 RWHP. I'd have to see proof of this. The highest I have ever seen on a stock engine is 717 rwhp and that was a LS6 with a turbo on it. I doubt he could get another 283 hp out of it without spitting out parts on the first dyno pull. But you say it can be done, then go do it.

You actually didn't say what block in the post I quoted idiot. No I'm not going to go back 20 pages to read your babbling nonsense and idiotic belief that its easy to make 1000 RWHP. If it were easy and it only costs 10K everyone on this forum would have it.

well it is 3 pages and it was clearly stated 6.0 liter iron block lq4 - 500 to 1000 complete used

not everyone on this forum has 10k to build an engine and this is why not everyone has a turbo lq4 that will make 1000 rwhp

im sure anyone who has any upgrades bought them one at a time or a few and maybee if u add them up over time they spent 10k

not my fault they didnt save the 10k first or aquire parts after making a build sheet and do it the proper way

u guys can call me an idiot or swear up and down it can't be done all you want

I have been street racing for 20yrs and taking people's money for that long

I have built many cars and a few we have gone to the finals at WFC back in the day when some of you were still in grade school

Some of the fastest guys out there have been on a serious budget and bought parts from other fast guys who have an unlimited budget and basically give parts away

I challenge anyone here to research ls1tech and see if you can do this with a stock lq4 iron block and stock crank and stock casting heads??

the answer is yes

with a turbo guys ............... that's why all the fast guys use them

and lets not forget this is a flat out race car so no bullshit daily driving garbage or even in a f body for that matter

its a 1000 rwhp ls engine for 10k or under
