Chris my trans has 125 runs in the 10s in 2008 and about 75-80 in 2009.Its not a shop built trans, its a shift kit,has a beast sun shell,3 quart deep pan( 10-11 quarts ) and i dont make a pass unless the trans temp is below 175 degrees.Heat is what kills the trans.I had my trans guy go through it after the season in 2008 and he said it looked great!!!!! I change the fluid after 50-60 runs, along with the oil.Maintance is the key.

LilJay, you were correct. I just wanted to know if there was a performance or financial advantage to using FLT. Chris1313 was kind enough to explain his reasons in PM, and I thank him for it.
Now back to the thread. Damn I can't wait to see how well this build does at the track. It certainly has the potential to run a very low ET.

well figured i would update here...there will be a short thread in the drag results too
with +750 DA and 20lbs heavier than i was cam only, and tapping the rev on the 1-2 shift, a couple times
1.401 60ft
4.230
6.626 102.54 mph 1/8 mile
8.692
10.443 128.49 mph 1/4 mile
when cam only in same conditions I would have ran 10.9x at 121-122mph...
This was in street trim i took nothing off the car, and drove it 160 miles round trip, with cooler and bbq grill in the back, just your average grocery getter...haha
so right now i can pull another 85lbs when the cooler air comes (passenger seat, catback, and light weight battery)
was 62* bar was good at 30.35, dew was 40* and elevation track 730 ft
thanks
will have some vids when my dad loads them on the computer

as for the knock sens. what is causing it on the shift...motor torquing over and a header hitting...
what I meant is wouldn't it be better to fix the root cause of the problem...maybe better motor/ trans mounts...
so now if you get actual knock from say bad gas or whatever the cause no timing will be pulled...just wondering and trying to grasp it...
