Default New Mods, New Tuner, New Numbers!!

Ok I just got my car back from Mike Norris Motorsports who is a GREAT GUY by the way, from installing a FAST 92, NW 92 TB, 85mm MAF and 42lbs injectors. I screwed up the install and he had to fix all my crap that I did. But anyways the car has the following mods and I am really pleased!! I wish the torque was a little higher but I am happy either way. Car has

T.R.A.K Cam
Fast 92mm Intake (UNPORTED)
NW 92mm TB
85mm MAF
Pacesetter LT's
TSP true Duals
MTI Clear lid (That is junk and broke)
Monster stg 3 clutch
4:10's

The car made a STD correctd 433rwhp & 382 rwtrq!! He thought mayabe I had headwork or something. I am very happy with those numbers for sure. Will post graph when i get home and fix my scanner.

Very nice, but I'm curious to see the SAE numbers. In very cool, dry air STD numbers can be a bit inflated. Not knocking your just saying how optimum weather for dyno numbers can skew the results a bit. If you dyno STD in 100* weather the numbers should come up lower.

How's the drivability? Any surging, stalling like so many cammed car owners complain about ?

Why did you change tuners ?

No reason really on tuners the last guy did a good job but he was far away and Mike was right where I live. Plus I had heard great things on him and I broke somethings and it needed done quickly. LOL. No issues at all so far. I really dont know much about SAE or STD but I do know the humidity was pretty high yesterday even though it was like only 60 degrees. Not sure if that plays a role on it or not.

Glad to hear you found a good tuner that is close and convenient, and who does a great job !!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not 100% on this but I believe SAE bases there numbers off of how close the weather is compared to 70F and 30% humidity. So if the temp is lower, and less humidity you will get a number corrected (lowered) to what your numbers would be if the conditions were actually 70F and 30% Hum. Now if the temps are above 70 and/or humidity is greater then 30% your numbers will be lower, but due to correction factor of SAE the numbers again will be corrected to approximately what the engine would make if the 70F and 30% hum were present.

STD correction takes whatever conditions are present and tells you what kind of hp/tq the engine made with those conditions. If you dyno STD in 100F and 80% humidity your numbers will be one thing, you come back and dyno in the winter when its 30F and very low humidity your numbers will be quite a bit higher.

If I wrong someone please correct me. Or at least better explain it.

Glad to hear you had a good experience with Mike. Everything I have read about him is good. I am happy he moved to Indy so I can have someone close to tune my car.

Numbers look good. What 85 MAF did you go with?
