2000 Camaro finally Dyno Tuned 372.7hp
Went to Pro Dyno Tech today in Thorntown, IN. and Ron dyno tuned the 2000 Camaro Z28 A4. Base Line was with the stock flash file. 313.0 hp and 316.2 tq. Ron tuned it and got it making 372.7 hp and 349.6 tq. I am very Pleased.
The car just has headers, stall, air lid, Ultra Z Hood, and a Ram Air Radiator support.
Just hard to believe a tune added 59.7 extra hp.
Weather: Clear and low 90's
Only more HP's when it starts cooling down

Here's a pic of the dyno results.
I know it's all talk until you see some papers so here's a screen shot.

Holy cow, those are the craziest numbers I've ever seen on this site. Headers and lid auto putting down 370rwhp? And 60hp gain from a dyno tune? I've just never seen numbers like that from what your describing ever. I'm scratching my head on this one. Unless you don't know you have a LS6 Z06 engine installed acidentally from the factory.

Don't get too caught up in the 372 dyno#. I'm not familiar with that brand, but can assure you there is no way the car would register that high on a more mainstream brand like Mustang or DynoJet.
On a DJ you'd be around 325-330 with the stall locked. A stock A4 on a DJ will typically be in the low 290's. Tune, headers and intake will add up to 50 rwhp on a stock stall. Higher aftermarket stalls will not dyno as high as stock which is why the operator will lock it up for the pull in 3rd gear.
Take it to the track and your MPH will tell you how much power it's really making.

They did a 2010 Camaro right after mine and it's stock base line was 375hp. From what I have gathered that's the normal. So the dyno is calibrated right.
Yeah I'll run it at the drag strip one of these weekends and see what happens.

I've been on a Dynomite. It was set up as a portable on a car dolly type thing at a car show, but better experience than no experience at all, I guess. Back when all I had was an LM1 and a K&N on my 98 auto, it said I put down 317 hp and 340 tq. It seemed to be pretty inconsistant on the readings and it wasn't loaded. I dunno how much difference there is in the one I was on and the one he was, but I wasn't over-impressed with the one I've seen.
I'm not calling BS because I don't doubt at all you put those numbers down. I just don't have a lot of faith in the dyno it was done on. Anything's possible though.

Back in 2002 I did a pull on a Mustang dyno with the same car the only difference now is I have a tune as before I didn't and the radiator support and I got rid of the Gantatelli MAFS.

i think there is a better chance of it snowing tomarrow than you having an ls6 in there by mistake, just look at the heads. even with the ls6, those would be really high numbers. i know there are cars out there that make more power than others, but damn. that car will trap 106 or less.
