Raptor Cam Results
well got my car tuned today at newtech in Hayward. It's an SD tune. It dynoed 402 rwhp and 377 rwtq.Mods are: pacesetter LT, ls6 intake, custom y, no cats, with cut out open.
This was done on a dyno jet. So what the FUDGE, I thought this MOTHER FUDGER was gonna dyno at least between 415-425.
Oh yea this is also on 853 heads.

Case and point... My buddy has an 00 Trans Am (853 heads) and has an LS6 Intake and a Lunati 242/242 cam... On a mustang dyno made 390 RWHP
Now my car.. 241 heads, same LS6 Intake and a 228/232 cam and SAME mustang dyno (same tuner as well) I made 419 RWHP!!!
So this is what I was told, right from the get go he new exactly what I was gonna dyno, he said with my mods I'd barely be over 400 and he was right when he meant barely (2hp over). Anyways he said with a underdrive pulley, better lid and throttle body I'd be gaining at least a good 15 rwhp.
Since the tune the car does kick ***, pulls like a mother up top and boy do I mean it pulls. I driveability still needs to be worked out but above 2rpm it drives good.

Dynatech SuperMaxx w/ Cats matted to a Corsa
T-56 w/ Textralia OZ700 Z grip, Steel Flywheel
3" STEEL DS (Denny's NItrous Ready)
Moser 12 bolt- 33 Spline Axles, Tru Trac Diff (heavy POS), Stock 17" WS.6 Rims
My smaller cam makes better TQ till 3.5-4k RPMS and then your peak TQ moves up a little. Willing to wager if I had a stock driveline I would be @ or past your numbers.
Even though the heads are not optimal, that cam may need more Compression like all top end cams and may see a decent bump. As well as a FAST intake (un ported) will help the combo as well.
EDIT:
Just to mention that my cam is not considered a strong runner either given the similar cars, drivetrains, mods, dynos, and conditions. I have seen mine do 405-425. Some I can account for drive train difference but I am a firm beleiver that not all cams are equally cut the same. Sometimes the cam companies mess up and you get that one or two guys who have freak dynos.
I have personally seen a custom ground 230/236 on a .550/.550 lift (i think 112 LSA) make 380 rwhp on a 98 Camaro and then put into a 2002 Camaro (same drive line/mods/tuning shop) and make 420 to the tire.) Eastside Perf (Former Holder of the LSX Nitrous Record) Did all the work on both cars and thought the 2002 had LS6 heads or some other work. Just goes to show what happens. Beleive me I wanted that Kid's cam BAD. Last I heard the 4.20 car put in larger ratio rockers, yellow terra lights, and TFS 215cc heads and made not so much more, maybe 450 which for a H/C car with those heads a kinda weak combo.
I wish I could make that **** up.
Oh and one last thing. The ONLY cam that I IMO that has almost always made consistant power is the TRex, not a cam that I would use persay but that makes decent power and for a "off the shelf" non custom grind, I think is a pretty sure bet. Though I think the company grinding it has more influence on what power you make no matter what you create for a engine combo. It almost makes you want to have every cam, "Cam Doctored"
