Dyno Graph: From 305rwhp to 440rwhp: Stalled A4 H/C LS1

Yes, the cam was ground on EPS lobes.
A mutual friend introduced me to a local SAM grad. He was confident we could make good power without hogging out the ports/runners, all the while not breaking the bank.
I forgot to take pics of the headwork though....sorry guys.

good job man nice power and curve...yes a 6700-6800 shift point looks good to me by looking at the graph...depends on shift extension but that should be fine with that flat hp curve...great results for touched up 243's...
now go get a slip with fall right around the corner

The results are great but it looks like I was wrong on this one about pulling to 7000 + like I thought. I feel there are some things still left in this setup and I really don't know what to think when people don't degree their cam in! The car will rip for sure but I know there is more in it.

I doubt the primary size... 1 3/4 here and mine peaked at 6750...we will see here in a few weeks what it puts down/peaks at with these 1 7/8 ARH and custom Y

Im very interested to see what switching from 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 will do on your setup!

I should have explained my post a little more, I believe if the heads were opened up a little more combined with larger primary size his power would have carried on past 6700 rpm or so. Obviously his peak power would also have been greater also. We know the intake is not a restriction in his case, at this point.

I agree with this, and I actually regret not having a bit more taken out from the intake runners and adding bigger valves. These things would have certainly allowed better breathing up top, but I guess we're all on a budget, and we have to draw the line somewhere...damnit.

Those are awesome numbers, very similar to mine and trust me the car will rip for sure hope you've got a built rear end Also for the spinning to 7K I have yet to see a car with a plastic intake on it make power that high, they all seem to peak right around 6500, ported or not.

Here is a 418 with a Fast 90 that seems to turn plenty of rpm just fine. If you know what you're doing these plastic intakes will support 7000 rpm with a 346.

that graph peaks again as I stated around 6500rpms mine does the same with a stock LS6 intake you shift about 200rpms after peak, why wind it out further unless your hitting the limiter on the big end? My point is why get a cam that peaks any higher than what the intake and heads will flow? If your not still climbing to 7K your cam is peaking too high and I haven't seen any graphs peaking higher than that with a fast or ls6 intake.
