It doesn't simply shift it to the right, it does shift it to the higher rpms with less of a torque peak at lower rpms.

Wider LSA "widens out" the power band where a narrow LSA will make an early torque peak and a stronger mid range but may fall off earlier.

I'm agreeing with you, just clarifying...

In a very simple way to remember it, tighter LSA equals more tq, narrower power band, stronger mid range. More suited to a manual trans.

Wider LSA smooths out the powerband, more "top end", later tq peak, less "brutal" mid range.

Yes. Stock 241 heads.

I actually surpassed my goal so I'm def happy with the results. The powerband itself wouldn't have been all that much different. Either way these EPS cams are real nice. I'm in the market for some heads now lol

If I was to buy newer then a 01-02, I would go with the LS3 as well. I've seen some amazing results come from those. Who knows, maybe I will do a motor swap at some point down the road.

Great numbers, I had my own specs lined up but I went with the same 2226/230 .598/.600 cam as you did since I wanted EPS lobes. I got a 112+2 though. Hopefully I'll see 435-440rwhp out of it with my heads.

Depends on a lot of variables for an auto, but a narrow LSA can be well suited to an auto car too.

You went with a 2226/230...haha . You will enjoy that cam. I spoke to Phil at Advanced Induction and they are going to work over a set of 241 heads for me. They have seen results of 40-45rwh with them on bolt on/cam cars. And for the $$$, you can't beat the work and product they put out.

My friend just had AI do him a set of 219cc 241 heads on his 01 SS. He picked up 43.6rwh with them. You should be close to 450 at the rear if you go with those heads.

Nice results. Do you have a dyno graph you can post up?

Nice results with stock 241 Heads ...

Now you could spend alot with TFS 215cc heads or hit two by one and go with PRC 5.3L milled to your spec ( to rise up your CR ) + Ported FAST 92mm .. I'm sure 450-460 will not be a problem at all !

I just picked up a brand new display model Fast 90/NW 92mm TB. Having Vengence port the intake. A local friend is selling me his 243 heads and those will be shipped out to Advanced Induction to be worked over. I'm hoping to be in the 450-470rwh range once done.

Wouldn't you want the head porter to port the intake since they could actually match up the ports instead of take a wild guess?

They dont port or touch the actual exit run since I am keeping the stock 241's for the time. I'm doing just the intake for now and heads later.

Your post is getting me excited to install my EPS 226/230 cam. I'm also going to put on some TEA 5.3 heads.
