Max hp with LM7?? What do you guys think i will hit?
Ok, so after looking at many dyno sheets from ls1's make over 400rwhp i figured i could hit it with my lm7 before spray.
First off has anyone hit 400rwhp here on the tech? I know most people usually run the ls1 or lq4/9, and not many people put as much work into the lm7's on performancetrucks.
If i can't hit 400 what do you guys think i will fall in at. It will have a dyno SD tune and the following parts:
Super vic intake
4500 edelbrock throttle body
LT's to cutouts[for racing and dyno only]
torquer v2
comp 918's
Home ported 862's with .030 milled to bump compression
rod bolts
Supporting fuel system
Through a t56
Regardless the car will be a beast, w/ or w/o spray since its weighing in under 2000lbs right now. But i'd like to hit the 400 mark.

I know my intake and tb are a bit overkill. But i figured the torquer v2 will like to be spun up higher in rpm in the 5.3 vs the 5.7.
Im assuming that what you ment by mismatched?

Here's one making 490 hp (crank) with a stock LS2 intake and TB. Another one made 500 hp with the same TFS 205 heads and a Fast intake.

Why such a large TB?

Thanks for the advice guys. Nice to see it has been done.
I planned on raising my power band in the rpm range since I am real concerned with traction. I figured the intake and cam would do that quite nicely. The current 862 heads I plan on running will hopefully be ported well enough to get some decent flow numbers, that is of course 100% dependent on my learning to port quickly, but im a quick learner. I built a hotrod from scratch to first test drive in 6 months, having never done any real structural welding before[patting myself on the back now] Anyways I figured I could get a decent flow from the 862’s enough that it won’t choke me too much.
Also the tb is so large because I got a good deal on it and couldn’t say no! Less than I’ve seen any 4150 tb sell for.
Im sure regardless of the numbers it puts down, I will be more than happy with the result when I hit the gas, but my buddy called me out on not being able to hit the 400 mark.
