All I can say is that I made 464/414 with the G5X4, AFR 205s & Kooks Lts with a 6 speed.
Which is only a tad better than when I made 455/410 with the G5X3, old Absolute Speed 2.5's & a budget set of Pacesetter Lts. With the bigger cam, better heads & better LTs i expected more than a 9 rwhp gain.

Could have put together a nice little stroker with those heads.

While you're spending good money on this big head/cam combo, you're leaving a good amount of hp on the table (all throughout the powerband) by sticking with the ls6 intake. Honestly, I know it all comes down to budget, but you really should hold off on the build/tune until you can pick up a FAST/Vic Jr intake.
You'll make solid numbers regardless, but if you think you'll eventually upgrade from the ls6 intake, it would be ideal to save and do it all conjunctively.

I am going to be switching out my ls6 heads to a set of Trickflow 220s with a stage 1 port job from TEA milled to 59cc. Has anyone on here run a set of these with the G5X4 cam ? My car made just over 400 with unmilled stock ls6 heads. I'm expecting some major improvement with the TF 220's.
This is going into a 01 camaro stock cubes with a PT4400 convert through 3.73 gears. I'm gonna port my LS6 intake until I buy either a LS2 intake or a fast. car has full bolt ons, ported TB and full drag suspension.

Trick flow heads really respond well to LSL or XFI lobes. Since you went to 59cc you shoud look at comps 231/239 Lsr series cam (LSL lobes) should clear and make killer power. For what its worth the ed curtis cam's seem to agree with trick flow heads reall well too, theres a member here with a streetsweeper ht (228/232 111lsa) and tfs 225's making over 490rwhp and 453rwtrq. I would like to see one of ed's tigershark 232/236 cams with trickflows. A tigershark and Advanced induction 243's did 504rwhp and trapped 100mph in the 1/8th mile . Remember with trick flow heads its not so much about the size of the cam. Since the heads flow killer at mid lift you want a lobe profie that takes advantage of that.

Nope, they're done and gone. Too bad too. Great company and awesome reviews on the head work they put out.
I've got a set right now that I can't wait to install. Sorry Orange Juice, I'm excited about seeing how they work though!
