Why do you think I should ditch the rockers? They are a little pricey but after the beariing upgrade to the stock rockers and actually picking up a set, i figured I would only be out $200.00 or so.

I think why he is saying that is the stamped steel stockers are stronger and lighter. Proper spring though and the weight won't be an issue. And the wipe on the valve tip can be set narrower with the YT's if you take the time to do it which you should since your cam has decent lift... vettenuts has a good "how to" writeup in gen III internal if you can find it.

With the money I am spending on this, they will have to come further down the road. If I'm not happy with the results that is something I will have to look into.

Drivetrain is gonna rob some hp. Seems like a good guess. Ditch the YTs too IMO unless you already bought em.

Damn no love for the Terra's. I have them on order now. I have been told due to the rather high lift on the cam the wipe on the valves will be better with these rockers also I like the fact that the needle bearings are sealed compared to the stockers. Any bad info on the Terra's I dont know about? I may be able to ship them back minus shipping if there is **** i dont know about them.

Good guess on the HP, But unfortunately through an A-4 and 12 bolt the TQ #'s always show up a bit low on the Dyno!!! My set-up is similar and I got 461rwhp, Can't remember the tq #'s, but they were unusually low... The real test is at the track.. 10.94@124mph!!! Once I change from 3.50 gears to 3.90's, I expect to pick up a bit more on the ET side. Just remember Dyno #'s might look good on paper, But the performance of the car is what is really important. Good luck with your build

My #'s are on a dynojet and I will almost guarantee you will beat me on a DJ...... I think you have a nice setup but like me would pick up a few with a bigger/better exhaust....

IMO you will better your HP guess but your TQ. guess will be a little tougher

Unless you dyno way off (say less than 420), I would not worry to much about the numbers you put down. I have that SS4k and it flashes to 5500 on My old school LT1 401 stroker and my extension is 700 rpm max. Anyway, unlocked that verter looses a lot on a dyno (between 20-30 more rwhp over SS3600). You'll have one hell of an average hp though, and that's what counts. I would not trust a SS4000 (locking the verter) against that stroker. It might not lose it (slip the lock up clutch) but eventually it will cause problems. Ask me how I know, that was very expensive lesson.

It will certainly be a drivable setup, other than the 4000 stall you have and will make a great torque line (probably wouldn't call it a curve more than likely). I will be another to say 1 7/8" longtubes, hitting 402/408 is where the difference will begin to show. I would stick with the Yellas though, if you move to a TFS head later then roller rockers are required. Post up those #'s fella, curious to see what she does all said and done.

Compression should be 11:2 to 1 or so. I'm sure the dyno numbers will not be stellar going through my drive line and all, I definally will not be locking the converter. I,ve heard the Circle D converters can take it but not going to chance it with the Yank.Motor is still at the machine shop and still gathering a few of the odds and ins for the build.May be installing the heads unported due to the money I have been spending on this.I figure when i need a little more i may slap a 125 shot or so on it. Goal for install is 2-3 weeks. My last setup only put down 385/370 and ran 11.7 so I will be baseing the improvements from there.

Tuned with 110. The stall nitrous stall sucks NA but rocks on the juice. -2cc diamond pistons callies rods and crank.
