Default EPS cam/243 heads prediction! Updated!

***Update 5/3/11***
[B]I just got an email from my tuner, he said he still has some tuning to do to the car but that the results as of right now are 408rwhp and 381 lbs. tq. I did not end up having the underdrive pulley installed. I'm not sure whether to be satisfied with the results or not. I know that other threads showed cars with same mods and an even smaller eps cam making 420+ rwhp. I'll update the thread when I get the car back and get to drive it.[B]
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Waiting on my EPS cam to arrive so I can throw in the car. Just wondering what you guys think my car will make as far as power. I swore I'd never make one of these threads, but im soooo anxious! You guys think I'll break 400rwhp? I'll be happy with just that.

1998 Camaro SS M6

PP'd stock tb
Free Ram Air
QTP Headers
Full 3" Dual Exhaust w/ Flowmaster mufflers
LS6 intake
10 bolt w/ 3.73

**with the above mods the car dyno'd 349 rwhp/350 lbs.tq**

This will be added to the car...

EPS cam 226/234 .598 .602 on 113 lsa
stock 243 heads
25 % underdrive pulley

So what kind of power do you guys think it will make? Will it break 400rwhp? Thanks.

Easy 400+ I hit 400 with my 226/230 on stock 241 heads. If you don't hit 400 with those 243 heads something is wrong
I say you hit roughly in the 415 area

Agreed. There should be no reason it does not hit 420 unless the dyno reads low.
This car has a t56 right? sig says you swapped from auto to manual cuz manual will read a bit higher on a dyno for sure.

Good luck, let us know how she drives after.

Yes, the car has a t56 in it right now. I sure will let you guys know how it drives after, real excited for this setup to go in.

*I like the 430/400 suggestion

well if its anything like mine it will dyno 23 hp less then my tr220 cam but gain 5 mph at the track.... lol! anyway i dynoed 383 with the stock stall then put my 4c converter and eps 226 234 cam in and the dyno read 360 rwhp same dyno..(diesel shop with eddy current mustang dyno, think there was alot of load to spool the diesels but pushed the stall out of its efficiency range... HA! 5 mph at the track is probably 50 horsepower so im gonna say im in the neighborhood of 430 rwhp and i think you shall be as well, esp with the 6 speed. I should also add that i pulled the stock maf off and gained about 2mph at the track as it was a restriction. so possibly factor that if the number comes in low. either go speed density or get a larger maf. removing it for me obviously made it faster. that and a lot of speed density tuning after it was gone

best with tr220 cam 88mph
best with eps cam with maf 90.5
best with eps cam with out maf 93 mph.

all density altitudes within 200 ft around 800.

The difference is my heads are ported but im also dynoing on a stingy mustang dyno with an auto. With an m6 i still dont think 430 will be a problem for you on a mustang dyno and should be easy on a dynojet.
