I'm not familiar with eps camshaft, but what size is it?

The numbers don't seem to bad considering on a mustang dyno and through an auto w/ unlocked verter. I assume you have a 4l60e?

I wonder if it would make any of a difference if it was leaned out just a tad. But regardless it should shine nice at the track and thats where the results come in

Yeah I'd say they're a tad low even for the unlocked converter and mustang dyno. Have you run it at a track yet?

What's the compression?

Buddy has a 67 camaro with a ls2

TEA 243 heads
EPS 226/234
Fast 102
NW 102 TB
85MM maf
1 3/4 headers
3200 Circle D
Built 4L60

Made 445rwhp unlocked on a dynojet. When he was cam only he made 370rwhp on a mustang dyno.

Why did you go with 317s over the 243s that come stock on an LS2? You sure it's an LS2? The lower compression of an LQ4/9 might explain this.

Do you know why the timing was left at 24 degrees? That could make a difference.

I am running a 6.0 liter small block Chevy with AFR heads and a 233/233 camshaft along with a Yank PT-4000 converter unlocked and put down 395rwhp. So, you should have more power than what I have.

Couple of thoughts. One is to finish the tune as I see a couple of horsepower with a leaner AFR. Also add in some more timing and I bet the horsepower will come up some more. Last is that Mustang dynos are usually stingier than Dyno Jets.

i would take it to the track first and foremost. dynos don't mean **** especially with regard to an unlocked automagic.

if it only traps 115 i'd be worried.

the car feels stronger than it did with the 5.3 that made 352. car would hook half way through first but now it has no traction till 3rd gear... so ill be going to a dynojet dyno and having some "touch up" done on my tune and see where that goes.

got redyno'd wednesday... first pull made 380 through the muffler which is exactly what i made on the mustang dyno. Fully tuned with the cutout open made 407/364 at the tires, still unlocked converter. It still seems low but it pulls hard as a **** and im happy with it. May put a power adder back on one day who knows....

With that setup you should be doing a bare min of 420-430 through an A4 drivetrain.

Who tuned it?

It does seem a little low... and I hope it is b/c I just purchased the same cam! A couple of things jump out at me:

1. 317 heads have lowered your compression down to somewhere in the 9.5:1 range ... you should be running 243/799 heads that would put your compression in the 10:5 + range. that's a whole point of compression worth probably 15rwhp.

2. I'm no tuner, I would have expected the timing to be higher in the 28* range

3. Mustang Dynos and Automatics typically read low, this is not helping if you are comparing to M6 results on DynoJets

Looks about right for an A4 with an unlocked 4000rpm stall.

Have no idea why people think it's low.

it says he is using an ls2 short. an lq4 long is like 9.4-1 using a -6.7cc dished piston. a flat-top piston and 72cc head is closer to 10-1 depending on what gasket he went with. the numbers don't look terribly low considering the unlocked verter and big stall.

new numbers? any track times? car raceweight? pics? any more ? i can throw out there? ? ?

The 317's are milled .040 putting me at roughly 64cc of chamber. So my compression should be the same as stock
