i have a 2002 camaro 6 speed and dana 60 diff, engine is a 402 with 10.6cr and patriot stage 3 heads, cam is 236-242 and .650 lift with my 1.85 rockers, fast 102 intake,t/b 102, maf 100mm 104mm lide, 42lb inj, pacesettre headders and off road pipe with 4'' mufflex exaust, i made 545rwhp and 516tq, then tried my stock ls1 maf(having bucking issue with the 100mm cruising) and made 532rwhp and 511 tq. this was on a Dynojet outside in cool 60 temp. i am verry satified, is this normal numbers for this combination? these were corrected numbers

Those are some very strong #'s with an S60 and they seem high, but it may be just a great combination. My numbers, which are off by 30-40 rwhp, were on the 10-bolt (drop another 10-15 rwhp with my S60) .... damn that seems high or maybe I am just jealous! What does the car ET??

my goal was 500rwhp. i also found the number on the hight side, but we passed 33 cars on the dyno that day, and most of the cars that had been dynoed before on other dyno was pretty close to the original #, temp was 66.80F,29.86in-Hg, humidity 40%, sae 0.97, smoothing:5. is there any # more to kno if this is good info, i do have the sheet, just not sure how to post, no track time , have no tires for traction, no use going to the track for now. at 5000rpm and up is were the big maf works over the small maf, i am going to stay with the small maf for drivability reason at the cost of 13hp, i don't mind any opinion on these numbers being to hight, i looking for reason's to beleive it

Numbers seem inflated. Take it to the track though. I'm guessing 128-129 traps consistently with maybe 130 here and there.

**** on SD!!! VE/MAF together have been proven time and time over to make the best power and torque. Ive tuned a few 100mm MAF with large cams, take your time and if you have to tune in OL.

i drive in a large range of temp and elevation, 55F to 100F sea level and mountains here, that is why i stayed away from SD, the tuner(carlos) i am working with now by e-mail and phone from texas(i am in NB Canada 3000miles away) told me that there would not be much diference between the 2 maf, i had a hard time beleiving it until this week, another well know tuner here tried all last year (email, but with no phone calls) to get the car to work and never sugested to swap maf, he had told me no probleme get the 100 maf.with Carlos he hook's up to your computor and talks to you on the phone at same time and explains every thing he is changing right in front of you and ask question, looks at you log and correct acordingly

Did you swap the TB as well or just the MAF?

Are you HPT?

Ok do challengers and 300's and magnums and Challengers run crappy in the heat or cold? High in mountains n low in valleys? NO it's in the tuner! Some tuners got it, most don't!

i am not saying that it can't be tuned, what i seen on my camaro is that with the 100mm maf is that at low rpm when there is not alot of air flow and the way the air is coming accross the maf sensor, there is turbulence and not all the air is being read, i wached the air flow on my hptuner and the numbers are all over the place, i put a screen in front of the maf and it made it better and even clocked it to a different position and made it better, but still not perfect(not as good as the small maf) it is not the tuners fault when the reading is not constant. my car is feeding from the bootom and the air has to turn almost 90 degrees at the air lide, the maf is 1 inch on the lide where problably most of the air is in the upper part of the maf.

Im also against the sd tune, just have never been a fan, if you can tune your own car its not a bad idea but if ya cant i would stick with the maf, thats imo though, great numbers ya know we need dyno sheet/vids/pics, i would be super happy with those numbers

I've seen a few things that Carlos has done over on CF, some big numbers coming out of there place.

If you have a concern that SD tune will not adapt to weather & atmosphere conditions, ask Carlos. I live in the mountains of BC & will run in either SD only, MAF only or the hybrid combination of both.

SD is tough to hit the cells, when tuning on the Mustang you can load steady state based on RPM or MPH....nice. The problem when tuning that way is the heat & **** you melt, such O2 & OPS wiring.

as a comparison for dyno numbers we ran 33 cars that day, just before me was a 2008 corvette ls3 stock automatic that put down 363rwhp, does that seem right for that car?
