Ls2/60e numbers seem low? *now with track times*
ok to give the rundown on the build... forged assembly ls2 with wiseco pistons, 6.125 rods, stock crank, 239/246 .621/.615 112+3 lsl/lxl cam, fast 102 trickflow 225's milled to 61cc, stock gaskets, 1 3/4 longtubes with a 3 1/2 inch cutout, circle d 4000, flt 60e and a ford 8.8 with 3.55's..... was going to just have my car street tuned and it decided to rain so we stopped by the shop to just have it dyno tuned.... made a first pull and it made 399/35x, and i wasnt too concerned with that because the cutout was still closed and everytime its ever been opened my car picks up 20hp.. well we made the final pull (cutout open) and it puts down 410/364..... does something seem wrong? everythign to my knowledge was installed correctly and the car runs amazing... numbers just seem low in my opinion and the dyno is a dynojet with a eddie current loader but a guy that works there said it was unloaded.... thoughts? if it means anything i went to the track on the base tune i got for breaking this new motor in with and went a 7.31@96.1 mph with a 1.72 60ft because the car spun one tire for a split second and then caught.. and the car weighs around 3500ish with me in it NEW TRACK TIMES IN POST # 15

Same thing I thought.... the tune was left rich at wot and he leaned it out yesterday and it picked up a few hp.. but that 7.31 was with my street setup with Hoosiers on the back so my heavy rims were left on the front and it was 95 degrees and humid as hell

if it trapped 96 @ 3500lbs on your "break-in" tune, i wouldn't be too concerned with dyno numbers. get the timing and fuel where it needs to be...on the street (or track) and it'll fly. that's still a 120 car before real tuning. also after the engine gets a few thousand miles on it - it will let a few more hp go in your favor. fwiw a local here dynoed 420whp through a big stalled auto and went low 130s in the 1/4. the car had a sub 3k raceweight, but *only 420 whp.
