Default $500 for a dyno tune In SA....

i was looking for some dyno time and maybe a tune too. So I called this place in SA said 100 for 3 pulls. Then when I asked for a tune he said hold on while I check. Comes back on says 500, I'm like ha ha......im not as stupid as you sound buddy, uhh thanx but no thanx.... For that price I might as well get htuners and just tune it myself. Some people have some nerve. Is this what everyone pays for a dyno tune???????

Thats about average. You can get a HP tuner, but their is a little more to it than pushing buttons.

I got a great deal on my tuning and Jason at TSP is top notch.

That is the price I was quoted by a sponsor that is in Dallas. If they can can make a big cam idle well and get a few extra HP it is well worth. I'm sure there is a big difference between a dyno tune from someone who knows what they are doing than a home or mail order tune.

Why do you want to get your car dyno tuned? From your mods you really dont need it. Your not gonna pick up more than 8-10 hp AT THE MOST throw some H/C in there then consider a tune.

eliminate some things.. and change some simple settings... and excuse me if i offended anyone who would risk tryin to tune their own car with hptuner or ls1 edit... I learned mostly everything I know bout the LS1 on this site and I would feel confident tunning my own car with help from felow ls1tech members. live and learn ... and whats so bad bout experimenting with software....read, read, read some more and use the search button.....500 bucks yea rite nice if u can that afford it

500 bucks is the going rate. 100 bucks for follow up tunes is common too. It's like the inverse crack dealer... the dope dealer will give ya the first fix free...

well my local ls1edit tuner said it can take between 4-6 hours to fully tune a car depending on mods and condition of car...etc....
he got almost 30rwhp from a stock C5....285 to 325? somthing around there.....
if you have the mods to take advantage of it thats great....

hey some guys spend more than that on stupid ****...ground effects, lenses, decals, MAF, gauges, interior crap, pedals, stereo!, etc.....

at least with a good tune you know your car is running right...and youll gain 10-30hp depending on mods! its a smart thing to do....

ever check out pricing on unlimited edit & buying your own dyno? lol then tuning for 2-5hrs usually on top of it...yah they can make money but theres alot of money they have to pour into it up front...for minimal changes most tuners wont charge you a ton but it really all depends.

well concidering you spent around 400-500 on your current PERFORMANCE MODS! and probly only gained 10-15 rwhp

why is it so CRAZY to spend 400-500 on a good tune to fix your AFR and **** like that and gain 10-15 rwhp?

or like ?? said you can buy and unlimited edition of LS1 edit for 10K then a dyno for ?? 5K or so and just master the program ....then just start a buisness of your own! ?

after my H/C install ill be paying 400-500 for a good tune and probly gain 10-20 hp.....money well spent!

30 rwhp on a stock car? Yea right unless the A/F was fucked up you aint picking that much up. Local shop here Speed Inc dyno tuned their Z06 that was 100% stock and only picked up 6 hp and 10 ft tq. And their tuner Jim is top notch. Whos this local tuner you have?

Well, if you slap some mods on your car that renders it undrivable, then you need to fork over $$$ to make it run correctly. In many cases tuning is necessary.
How bout we run each other so you can see some justification in process

Why is it funny? I have no sense of humor. Indulge me.
You come, post as to how much of a cheap *** you are, then you accuse others of being asses for paying their hard earned money for a tune? Go away already.
