Default 02 ls1 H/C/I bolt ons did VERY well!

info on my car...

SLP lid
FAST 102 throttle body
FAST 102 intake manifold
FAST billet fuel rails with pressure guage
PRC 2.5 LS6 heads milled to 62cc
Vengeance VRX5 cam (236/238 .601/.605)
Melling hight volume oil pump
Katech chain
Comp 850 lifters
Comp 7.400 push rods
Comp trunion upgrade
ARP head bolts
ARP cam bolts
ARP crank bolt
Kooks 1 7/8 headers and Y
MSD wires
K&N filter
BT2R tune (speed density)

made 456 hp/386 tq with the cut out closed, and 464 hp/390 tq with it open!

im guessing the way i built my car it making it put down good hp numbers, but the tq is on the low side. dyno chart shows the hp climbing still when i let off at 6600. tq numbers were not corrected on the chart. this is my first dyno experience so i was looking for some input on the looks of it. it was a fresh mustang dyno. it was about 95-100 degrees when i ran with a 50% range on humidity in longview tx.

Those are good numbers... But aren't the torque and hp suppose to cross at 5450 or so?

thats what my tuner was saying. the car was street tuned, then our group (LSX monsters) had a dyno day. he was saying the tq numbers and chart didnt look right, and they were uncorrected. ill be hitting it again this weekend at another location. and the tq/hp my cross closer to that rpm, if you notice the tq number is uncorrected and dont follow the same scale as the hp

Supposed to cross at 5250...not 5450.

It's because the hp and tq scales are not the same. If the tq scale on the left was the same as the hp then the curves would cross at the right place.

They should both still have identical values at 5252, the scale will make it cross somewhere else if they are different. In this case they do not appear to have equal values at 5252 so something is fishy.

Torque looks to be about 332 at 5252 and HP is 410 at 5252. They should be equal, since the 5252 rpm, it cancels out the constant, so HP must equal torque at that rpm. Scaling does not change this rule.

With the below formula, you are making 394.5 hp with 314ft.lbs of torque at 6596rpm, as per your dyno chart.

HP = rpm x T(torque)
5252(constant)

As an example of different scales, they still have the same number at 5252:

Scaling is different.

Torque is low due to the late IVC of the VRX5 and not enough compression. It's a 236 on a 111 ICL. You'd need 58cc chambers with stock MLS gaskets to get your DCR back up over 8.5:1 which would probably net you a good 20rwtq in the midrange torque dept. Of course, i don't think that cam will fit with that setup. Flycut, mill down to 58cc and run a Cometic .040"... you'd have 11.8:1 CR with 8.7:1 DCR - perfect for 93.

You'd also make more HP - another 3-5% more.

i know they were doing a DJ correction on the hp but were not on the tq. ill keep the input in mind as far as milling and fly cutting. would yall recommend a different cam profile for this set up that would help me avoid the machine work?

They didn't force scaling.
