Default 1026/861 377 ls3 ysi

He wanted to change the Fast 102 to a stock LS3 intake, add methanol injection, change pulleys t achieve 21-22psi of boost and a new camshaft to compliment it all.

I worked with this customer for nearly 5 months making sure everything was going to perform the way he wanted it to. He was hoping for 950rwhp with all the said changes.

Combination is as follows:

-Stock LS3 Aluminum block

-Stock crankshaft

-4.070" pistons

-6.125" rods

-WCCH CNC ported 280cc L92 heads 2.20/1.59 valves stainless intake and Inconel exhaust

-LS3 ported intake manifold and 92mm throttle body

-2"x3" Kooks headers

-3" x-pipe

-Stock cat-back exhaust

-Tick Performance Custom 235/260 .610"/.578" 115lsa camshaft

-Cogged Vortech YSI V7 trim blower with 27T blower/75T crank

-TR6060

-9" rear end with 3.50 gears

-Dual methanol nozzle injection

Plan was to have the cam peak at 7000rpm and blower speed peak at 7000-7200rpm for a 7200-7400rpm shift point.

I don't have a dyno graph for the latest pulls, but I do have a video showing the power it made.

Car is nasty that's for sure! you guy's did a great job on getting a very well dialed in car. It's now at our shop for a full TT build with some more goodies i'll post up some graphs for you soon, not at the shop computer.

Why all the effort to dial in the blower only to pull it right off?

Blake wanted 1000rwhp. He didn't know what he had until it was gone! LOL

Seems to always work that way in life. I don't know if Blake ever even dyno'd it until now.

I didnt dyno it after cam and meth. Ive always wanted turbos but went with the ysi because it was too good of a deal to pass. I thought it was making ~900 rwhp when I sent it off.

I also wanted a broader powerband and room to grow with the future bigger engines. I felt the ysi was maxed or close to it after the 1026 run. Turbos give me room to grow.

Mmmmmm, turbos.

Ysi's seem to love small cubes. I hope my 427 can come close to this.

How much torque did it make? I thought it made 821? Looks like it made over 850? It also looks like it hadn't even peaked yet!

Thanks for the picture!

It made 861tq. According to the dyno sheet, it appears to have been cut short as the redline on the car should be set at 7200rpms although it could have gotten there before the graph could react...

Dear Lord, I just read on yellowbullet someone made 1388hp with a ysi... they are rated to 1200hp by vortech. Perhaps I underestimated this blower...

That is what I was thinking. 1380 on an engine dyno makes sense. That would line up with the 1080-1100 at the wheels running them full tilt.

Yes, it was an engine dyno. I also believe he is running alcohol and not gasoline. Here is his blog with more details. He feels he can reach 1500 crank hp.
