408 finally done (lastest numbers)

Default 408 finally done (lastest numbers)

Well this is my first time on the dyno threads. got my 408 done and had sam miller tune it. It has a set of 243s gutted open and a g5xx cam in it stupid me didnt change the stock fuel pump till two days ago. With the stock pump it made 482/471 not to bad. Need to get back with Sam and get it tuned for the new pump he said it should go over 500 lets hope so. Should beable to break the 10 bolt for sure without even trying lol.

Yes sir it is a dynojet 248. and those numbers were at 5200 where my stock pump fell off so it should beable to get another 20 or so up to 6500.

Oh wow, yeah if you were making those numbers at 5200 then i'd say at least 20 more hp

Yea just talked to Bobby at lg motorspots and if I spin it up to 7000 it should make that easy. Will post up new numbers later.

More importantly than just the peak hp number will be the power and tq under the curve with that 408

most likely will peak out at around 6500-6700 but making that at 5200 is good should def hit the 500 mark

Nice. I just had mine dynoed. I'm at 505hp at 5200 and 534 tq at 4400. At 3000rpm I'm already at 490tq. With stock lq4 intake and stock headers. Built for down low

If and when I can get back to Sam I hope to be that 500 club to. So close yet so far next time i do anything it will be a betrter set of heads some tfs 245 possible.

Well went and visited senior Miller today and got new numbers. got it to 522/494 more than I had hoped for but said might still be more left but now my damn volage is dropping off at 5800 to below 12. So now to fix another problem and try again although I dont think I will gain to much more on this set up. Will get pic of new graph in a day or two.

10.8 static. I like the heads they work well enough for now. I need to turn my attention to the rear and trans before I even think about going for bigger gains in hp. How much is AI going to charge if you dont mind my asking what valve size also.

I want to go with 2.08 1.60 valves along with a custom cam to compliment them.Im not sure on total cost but this link will give you a idea.I had planned TFS/TEA 245's,but I had to scratch that.
