Where the heads left un-milled due to piston to valve clearance issues? I'm assuming that if you would have milled the heads, you would have had clearance issues. Did Vengeance tune the car?

It was tuned at lethal. I could've milled the heads but didn't want to.

That's what I was thinking. I just figured heads were left unmilled due to clearance issues, but I bet with more compression, 600 rwhp would have been possible. Either way, it's a sick car that's making more than enough power.

Great job! Love the torque!

One of the great things about the ls7 is it has 4cc valve reliefs from the factory. It also has a 12 degree valve angle which gives much more distance for the valve to drop to the deck surface.

This gives a lot of room to run a big cam and higher compression. With 12:1 compression this combo would be well over 600/540.

I bet it's a rocket and it will love nitrous!

This is our ls7 polluter cam btw and it's not nearly as big as you would think.

Stock 90mm throttle body a bottle neck at all? I bet a 102 would pick up a little more yet with that 102 intake heads and cam

Original post lists it as ported, but stock.

Reviewing a data log and the KPA towards the end of the run would show if there was a restriction in the system.

I would imagine a large cubic inch engine like this with a good sized cam and ported heads would benefit from a 102mm TB.

The only draw back is cost. A lot of money to spend on a TB just to pick you up maybe 10rwhp.

Money would be better spent on a nitrous kit and spraying a 100 shot to pick it up a substantial amount of horsepower.
